It's all about the individuals specs of a speaker, an 18 will play an 30hz tone just as fast as an 8 or 10.

All depends on the box and car, I heard a 13w7 at a festival once. I didn't really like the sound quality of it, then again it was in a box with speakers and tweeters. I'd say go to a shop and listen to a w7 there, if you like it buy it. If you don't then take a chance and get the Sound splinter. In the end, if you don't like the SS you can always sell it.

Hmmm.... I just called them actaully about a week ago for a dealer location and the dude said they were getting ready for CES. Don't really think they are closing, said something about them changing locations or something.
