I'd say go for it, can't find too many of them for that price. Then again you did say something about SQ in the future. From the one I heard, I didn't think it was an SQ driver. Could have been the box it was in, but not like this is going to take all your money away. Money can always be worked back, so if you end up not liking it you learned something. Then you move on to the next woofer, until your happy with your system, because thats all that matters in the end.

Good amp for the money, just from what I've heard and read. They are overrated, most of the time between 200-300 watts.

That should be a fine setup, I don't think the PA will really be putting out the 2,300 watts but, I think the first thing you need to start thinking about is if your electrical system can handle it.

So.... you bought a brand new SPL 12 and then put 120 volts into it to "breaking it in" nice. Do you normally buy new things and purposely destroy them?

I'm assuming the FI 18" BTL would be for you from FI, gets nice and loud. Only heard mine on 2500 watts and it was awesome, I'm guessing on the XXX your talking about the 06's. My buddy had two of them in his car, he didn't like them too much, apparently not his cup of tea, but you might be different so from what I've read they are not to efficient. The LMS Ultras look awesome, I was actually thinking about getting me one, but you better hope you have a dealer near you, because it was around $1700 shipped to my house.

The word SQ and BTL don't go together, unless you think a fart is a nice sounding noise. Anyways, I don't think they are meant to, be put in a sealed box but, go try it see how it sounds.
