SSA going to help out Realmofexcursion.com
kandiman71874 replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in News, Announcements, and Lobby
Strat, you are right, its a shame that the admin rights you have been asking about havent been handed down to you, you are one of the few at ROE that i actually respect over there, you and DraGGin Low as well as a few others, but the list is short. i hang out there and just read mostly anymore. ROE was one of the first forums i hit when i jumped back in the realm of car audio and i felt as if i was being treated like i was an idiot by most just for asking a few questions. -
thanks dude, tried messing with it a few different ways and it wouldnt post the chit
-
lets see if this helps messed with this code long enough, drop me an email addy and i'll send ya the chit
-
what year blazer is this anyway, i'll pull a wiring diagram and junction location just in case ya need it off alldata

batteries can cause an alt to stop putting out amperage if they dont appose a load that needs to be charged, but the static 13.6-14.4 voltage shouldnt be dropping out. thats a sign that the alt has shut down and that the regulator is not getting its turn on power request or that the regulator is turning off. what i am wondering is if there is possibly a rubbed spot in the wire going to the regulator and its being grounded there for killing the regulator. just had a thought, we do this kinda crap all the time here at work looking for odd crap, hook up a dmm (or a vantage if ya have one) to the regulator feed wire right at the plug and sit the dmm in the car with you( long leads needed obviously) and go drive around trying to get the damn thing to cut of and watch the voltage on that line. that will definatly tell you a little more as to your situattion. if ya loose power on that line, you dknow where to start, if ya dont loose it when the voltage goes to hell, take that alt back to where ya got it and get another.
-
have you noticed any constants here when it drops out, such as going around corners, hitting bumps , ect. ect. obviously if its coming and going the regulator in the alt works, but could be losing connection or it could aslo possibly be hear related internally in the alt that the regulator is shutting down. stranger things have happened. luckily for you that shouldnt be a computer controlled one. those can get fun to chase issues like this...

i also agree this could benifit both parties, but if i was an admin/mod here, i would be on the look out for the diapers to arive and try and drop thier crap in here. That forum has become overrun with whinny cry babies and sh!t starters. Good luck to all... -

It is quite likely that the Z series will only carry my very large amps in the future... as my upcoming SAE amps will be *very* good 'X' series staying where it is or will it be changing as well in the future ?

ok maybe i didnt get that totally explained right, i'm looking at those pieces as part of a 3 way front stage. sorry for being unclear there -
from what i have seen i would have to agree and i will be finding out personally here within the next year or so

i will be buying 3 12" q's in the future with the bp option but was wondering what VC comes in these, the site just simply says 3" 4 layer coil. is this a flat coil, or a copper coil or what, i was reading the coil options listed and it would seem to me that a copper coil would be best in this with it being a SQ orriented sub, but correct me if i am wrong. Will be running these off a Sundown 3000d on a daily set up that will see comps ocassionally wired in a series/parallel combination to right at 1 ohm. FI guys prefered on replies as i am looking at thier view point being that i know they know thier products better than no one else. no offense to anyone else there so please dont take any.

Edelbrock carbs suck as far as tuning, only adjustment you have would be the idle air screws and w/o a scope with cylinder kill you will never be able to get em totally balanced correctly, but 2 to 2 and a half turns out is usually a good rule of thumb. only thing other than that you can really do is get a needle and jet kit and start making passes at the track and pull the plugs after each pass to look at the burn conditions and the timing mark etched in the porcelin. old school tuning tricks there for ya, good luck with it, just dont lean it out to far, bad things can happen better rich than to lean
