I have a 12" woofer and I need to replace the dustcap. Only thing is that I am having trouble finding a kevlar/carbon fiber dustcap. I need a 6" kevlar/carbon fiber dustcap because that is the closest thing to the original, I could even use a kevlar/carbon fiber reinforced paper dustcap if need be. Please let me know if you know where to get these and how much they will be for the cap and adhesive. Thanks

I am looking at the skar vvx 12's and AA arsenal 12's, right now I am leaning towards skar 12's. they will be powered by mb quart discus 1500

space is not an issue I was just wanting to know space requirements for arsenal 15" woofers, because I am looking at getting a pair of arsenal 15's

budget is 400. I would like to stay with a pair of 12's or if I have space 15's. I am leaning towards a pair of AA arsenal 15's. Does anybody know the optimal airspace for Arsenal 15's?

Yes I am looking for more SQ but just as much output, SPL. The vehicle the SDC's were in was an old big body buick regal. The vehicle this setup is going in is a scion xb. The SDC's were ran off a AQ 1200 and stock electrical. Don't remember the exact box measurements all I can say is it was 4.5 cubes @ 38hz.

thanks for the input can you give me a link to the vid of the arsenals against other woofers? And please keep the opinions/experiences on the two woofers coming. Any input on these woofers or woofers in the same price range is appreciated, as long as the input is based on actual knowledge or experience.

I am looking for a good ""SQL"" setup. I am expecting to do mid 140's on music because I was able to do this easily with a pair of 12" AQ SDC 2.5's. However my last experience with AQ was less than satisfactory so I will never use them again. I am looking at the AA and Skar subwoofers because I know that they are quality built and based on the reviews and vids I have seen sound very well also. I am leaning towards the Skar 12's because of the package deal of 2 12's and custom built box for 360 shipped. Not to mention they perform very well. Not to say the arsenals don't but for the money the Skar subs and box are a better value IMO opinion, unless you guys have done a head to head between the subs and can tell me the AA arsenals are that much better.

I am looking at the arsenals and chaos series subwoofers. The thing is I do not know what the prices are for the two mentioned subs. I am looking into 12's and 15's for both models, and based on the price I will be able to make the best decision on what is the best for the buck, since they are both high quality. The problem is that I have e-mailed AA twice requesting pricing info but have not heard back from them. I understand they are busy but it has been a week or so. I am pretty positive that I do not have a dealer in my area, but for those who might have some inside info my zip is 29369. All this being said what would be the best way to get in touch with them so I can see what sub is best for me? Oh, and I did try calling them too with no answer. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a pair of PPI Pro 124's that I am going to be running off a MB Quart DSC 1500.1. The thing I want to know is if anyone has experience with these subs, especially using a ported enclosure. I have heard that they can only be ran sealed so that is why I want to know if anyone ever did port them and how did they sound? Any input would be appreciated.

I am looking to get a rack mount amp to use in my room to power 2 AQ 15's. I am looking at the Behringer ep2500 and the GTD Audio GD-750. I can get both for the same price. I know that the Behringer is more widely used and known for a good 2400 RMS but the GTD is 2 x 2250 @ 2 ohms, so it is almost double power and the same price. I want to know if anyone has experience with the GTD or if anyone has heard anything about the GTD amp. Depending on how the GTD performs will help me decide what amp to use.

What is wrong with Behringer, I hear they are very good for the money. Budget is minimal $400 max. and the more power the better but I dont watn to skimp on quality.

I am looking to build a box for 2 EHQS 12's to put in my room. The measurements of the box are 48" h x 20" w x 16" d, they are not for sure if you have any suggestions let me know I just want a tower design to go in the corner. And I was planning on using dual flared aeroports either 2 4" or 2 6". My question is how is my design will they sound good for HT use, if not please help me with my design to where they will perform the best and get the loudest. And what size ports should I use the 4" or the 6" ports, what tuning am I looking for with HT. I know alot about car audio and can build one hell of a box for a car setup but I am not too familiar with HT setups and what is the best way to build them to get the appropriate sound and performance.
-
So just double that box? Would I just double the height or all the dimensions?
-
What plate amp do you suggest because the one I was looking at does not have a ssf on it.
-
They just look like they are built better than some subs that can handle 1500 rms so I thought they should be able to handle around that much. But I guess looks do not matter that much, because based on the looks of the sub I would think it would be rated for 1000 RMS and actually be able to take 1500+ RMS. Based on the huge triple stacked motor that should allow for plenty of clearance for throw and it seems like the cooling is adequate to handle more power but that is based on looks. The motor could be weaker than it looks and the coil and suspension could be not as heavy duty as I would think they would be.
-
So a AQ 2200 would be too much power for one of them?
-
Can get the pair for $550 shipped and they have been freshly reconed.

I am looking at buying 2 18" BTL and the seller says that they are fully loaded but they do not have the 3rd mag. How would this effect the performance of the subs. He says that they have 5 spiders and a fresh recone. My question is how much of an effect not having the 3rd slug has on the sub. Do they not get as loud, do they not handle the power as well? What exactly does the 3rd magnet do for the sub?
-
What is the retail price on the havoc 18's the website does not have any prices.
-
yeah these have cooling and 5 spiders from what I understand. He said that they are fully loaded but FI just forgot to add the 3rd slug. But I got in touch with FI and they said that they did not forget to add the 3rd slug that they are the standard model BTL's and could possibly have cooling. So my question is how do the standard dual slug BTL's with cooling perform for daily on 2200 RMS each?
-
So how much performance am i missing out on with just the standard BTL with cooling as opposed to the fully loaded BTL with the 3rd slug and hi xmax coil?
