    so the abuse that i put the ethos is well stated in my topic... i over powered them.. clipped them, unloaded them.. got them stinky over and over and over again.......... so one is new and one is old...... can you tell what is what? i post this proving a point of how well made the coils are on these subs

    Not just a trunk, but a lincoln trunk.. Walled off trunk with minimal flow into the cabin. His is just one of several vehicles that show that any vehicle is capable if you put enough work into it. thank you .. your one of the few people who understand that.... i can only find a 3 people that have gotten over 150 in this body style ford..

    my intake manifold broke on my car the day after i put my subs back in.. but ok .. so like i said i would throw up a score today.. no testing no tuning.. just burp a few times quickly before i lost all my coolant .. i have stated that to the ear the ethos were louder to me then the nightshade V2s ....... and well i was right. no testing .. no tuning.. stright outta the gate with a 355 dollar shipped sub VS the 600ish sub i was running to get these scores

    i updated one of my other topics, as soon as i got the recones done and put in.. i took my car to work .. so i could break them in on the way to and from.... my intake manifold cracked and now my town car is outta service im going to try to see if i can get some numbers today in the drive way before it over heats ... bad thing is i wont be able to test and tweek... just burp as is

    i live in central texas ... and if you ported i would tel you to tune high 45 hz or so.. but IMO... sealed is your best bet.

  18. so i picked up another navigator, when i test drove it was missing and had some other issues... we agreed on a price, and a list of things to be fixed before i picked it up.... a tune up being on the list, so i assumed the mechanic fixed it because he called me to come get it.. so foolishly while the mechine finished up some small shit, i went and put the money down and signed the papers, as is of course, i go out to leave.. i start it up .. and its missing! so i jump out and tell home boy its missing. put the computer on it.... cylinder 7 not contributing , same as before, so i assumed it was the coil, ( a very common issue with the fords) so i ordered a coil, today i finaly had time to replace it.. so i went down to the dealer.. barrowed some tools, .. removed the asshole of a coil cover, then i was scared to see a new coil was already in #7 .. fuck!. so replaced it anyhow... still missing, ... shit! so i checked to make sure the coil was getting fire.. yup. checked for crank case pressure ... nope. used a stethoscope to try to check for the injector firing, and it sounded like it was opening and closing, no smoke, steam or anything from the tail pipe, no oil in the water.. no water in the oil... so i went in and talked to ole boy, and were going to do a compression test in the morning, but.. unless its a valve i cant see how the cylinder can be dead. so at this point im praying the injector is clogged,.... its a 32 valve 5.4 dual over head. any input
  19. so i got it all done and its running great... had both heads done full valve job, i ended up using the old chains, i bought new guides and tensioners .. runs very strong ... but.. true to form as soon as i get my subs reconed for the town car.. took it to work today... beating it on the way home.. as i pull in my drive way i smell sweet and steam is rolloing out of my hood....... my fucking heater pipe output on my intake manifold broke off!!!.... great .. new intake time. the worst part is.. now i cant even meter
