wiring I believe is done????????? you dont know if you had it done or not? and your installer should know about this kinda stuff. if not get a new one. 110 amp alt wont cut it. and it kinda seems like you might be trying to run that amp on a OEM system with like 10 gauge wiring kit or somthing

thats why your the man scott

your 18's were stolen from your lincoln? thats a drag. how!!?? from the looks of it you have to take the lid off your trunk to get the box in! LINCOLN UP!

All valid points, but......... When the starting battery is low, the isolator cuts off the back batteries to recharge only the starting battery. You continue bumping, and all of a sudden (if you're pulling a lot of power), you rear battery voltage is down to 10v, and your amps shut off, or worse yet, you get the magic smoke, and can't figure out why. I've hooked DMMs up, and seen it happen, but cut it off before the voltage got down to critcal levels on the rear batteries. My advice for anyone is not to use one, and just don't bump with your car turned off. Besides, I need that extra amperage from the front battery to the amps....lol WORD

i run a towncar, with 2 bl 15's in a 8 foot tuned box with 3k on them and im willing to say im prolly knocking harder then your 4 kickers. i say that cause i have been running towncars for 10 years, and i have been a bass head all my life. i have had your set up before

cool yeah sorry to jack your thread but i had a 97 lincoln towncar cartier. with the pearl cream outside and the cream inside, i liked it alot, i sold it, i miss it, i have tons of pics of what i did with it. alot of custom parts i have had 7 lincolns i lovem!!!! your my friend now!

i ran one..... and i say no dont do it/ the only time you need one is if you plan on playin your bump while the car is off. but keep in mind if you have say a 200 amp issolator if your pulling close to or more then 200 amps you may fry the issolator thats what hapend to me! i say no. you will just waste time. and the coolest part of having an issolator is that you can jumpstart your self with a dual issolator... dig it

the hifonics is close to 5k some were in the 4's and im pretty sure i know how he fot those 4 15;s in that trunk and the way there in there is the reason why hes not happy with them.

no worries....it takes a lot more than that to defend me...but no way shape or form saying you don't have money for JL...i mean serious...you got the better towncar out of the two of us...you might have some more cash than i do well what i had said in reply was not about Jl and where thay were built. what i had said was mean and i said some chit i didnt mean, and some chit i didnt know. but as i said i was in a bad mood and i was typin in a fury. seondly. you have a towncar?

i think i had talked with you about this aswell, those amps arnt the best, and i surely would not use them if i were gonna try and make a new and better sound. those subs you have i have had. the car you have i have had. fis are a much better sub. but if you do a bad install on anysub thay will not sound like you want them to. heres what im tryin to get at. i assure you. if you spend the money. and stop tryin to cram as many subs as you can fit in your trunk, and instead get good amps with good subs. and you will have that sound your looking for. i dont see how your gonna port 2 18s in a lincoln trunk. i would say get two btl 15's in a large ported and tuned. match with the right amps and for me i would think about two sundown 3000's and set those gains down low to midland. and you will be happy. that last reply is nick. hes the man too. i would guess that your question is a double sides sword. your askin them to tell you whats gonna sound better when really its all up to you on how it will sound. the best sub in the world matched up with a hifonics titan and a poorly build box will sound like crap. there is no two ways about that.

im sorry i was in a mad mood. i read it like you were sayin that i dont have money to spend on JL. my bad todd and chevy 350 and anyone else that might have been offeded.

cooling ideas for my amps?
jonbearsmt replied to pimpedout97x's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
i have used cage fans before, just get some warshers to lift the amp up when you mouth it, then a fan mounted to blow air either on it.. or pulling from it -
lol your so funny, im sure its done. but its still funny how you think. some one send there sub in and it walks in the door and gets fixed... what you think your the only one with a recone.... ???? not only that. fi subs are built to ORDER< get it? i know at burger king yall make the burgers ahead. not at Fi. your order gets in line. WHA
