i never found that to be true... i found that more so your OEM ALT fails when the amp calls for power.. and its not there.. and it is trying to take the power stright from the ALT.... and it fails becasue its ALLWAYS RUNNIN when the power is called stright from the alt..... not saying that you can not run a oem alt.. but having 7 cells with a OEM alt.. is like having a BMW M5 with out z rated tires. -

alright, my truck motor blew last month... i pulled the motor and sent it to be over hauled. new pistons rings head, sleaves its all getting done.. i have a new turbo here ready to go... i love my wrecker and im thinking i need to put a new system in it kinda like a re birth for her..... currently i have... old sony explode cd player 2 4 inch coaxels 1 jensen 200 watt 1 kicker comp vr 8 mounted inside of a old clarion bass tube encloser... i just upgreaded my 4 channels in my car with a sax series soooo that leaves an jl 300/4 open for either use .. or sale to fund my new system. i want a mp3 player, i was thinking some 4 inch comps ran off the jl, along with a new sub on the jl aswell.... i can keep the kicker.. whatcha think.....

i have a saz 3000d during the winter it never tripped... but now.. its hot... today was 86... my car is also black.. so that dont help one bit! anyhow im going to add a fan... jacob im gonna add a fan ... and unless you so otherwise im gonna raise it, off the floor and take the bottom pannel off.. and have the fan blowing from one side to another... im not sure if cool air directly on the bored will mess anything up.. i have done it with other amps. but i wann check with you first

jonbearsmt replied to jonbearsmt's topic in Automotive and Performance
i still have yet to make my mind up... but the website you gave was very helpful. i heard a clip of some flow master 40s that sound nice. thank you -
i would love to!... but when it rains im out in it.. not just driving with the doors closed.. im in and out in and out in and out... and with TEXAS sized rain drops.. by the third storm ill be buying new speakers. i pretty much have two options for full range... and it either 4 inch.. or 4x6....or i guess i could do 2 4inch.. and 2 4x6.... but thay will still be over head

yeah ill get some pics.. its in my shop right now.. i have another truck.. but ill get some pics asap... i can not do anything for kick pans cause i work in all weather... and with a 16 eee i need every each of space... not to mention the snow mud rain and spills in the truck..... it has a 60/4 style seating.. my driver seat is air ride indepentend.. the passenger side is a 60 bench.. and the bottom opens for storage.. its very tight, and with the 8x20 bass tube i have about 2 inches on each side and about 2 feet on one end. i want to start glass work.. but not on this truck... i run the company but thay are my bosses trucks!!
-
i guess new coa axels it will be cause i dont wanna cut up the truck... good cheap brands for a 4 inch?
-

yeah well thats what i did right away i replaced everything.... and added a sub and amp.. but.. will the components sound right if there abover your head just infront of you?
-
like this..... the 4 inch speakers are kinds of monted in your face. so is the cd player... its an over head type.. im not sure if you know about trucks.
-
i allways had mine blowing onto.. i have a huge one 5 or 6 inches, its a server fan. just dust it every once and a while. i was thinking to go cage fan style only because it looks sleeker... sleeker?
-
very nice jacob.. i know there is no eta./. but what about a price range on that part?
-
Yea but if your gonna invest this much into a system might as well do it right the first time. That way you dont have to go back later to fix prior mistakes k nate at EA said that a 225amp is the biggest he can make me for a direct bolt on so im gonna go with that and 5 powermaster d3100 in back and 1 yellowtop up front that should be good for 2 SAZ-3000D right? IMO you have it done well... the only problem i see is that at idol... your alt will only be putting out like 90 amps.... but with that many cells you should be able to stand and show off for a few mins.. but u may have to keep a foot on the fuel pedel

lol ok guys thanks a bunch... the guy i talked to is a falking tard i knew that.. but he is the only man i knew that has tryed all that chit!... infact its that guy with the 4 15s in his trunk.. the one i turned down on doing the install... it makes sence that design of the CAI would either make or break the fuel and power i have to cats on my car... thay are newe... i replaced them as soon as i bought the car... i have duals with an H pipe... and i plan to get some flow masters pretty soon here... i dont need more HP or even better fuel miliage.. i just figured if i could add a after market peice and it would serve function that would be GREAT....
