i have been towing cars along time.. and the only alarms that make me wanna pass on them are loud fucking tweeters along with the siren.... nothing like your ears bleeding to make you wanna get away from a car.

the tops never got warm or the sides never got warm? i dont see how 2 amps at .5 ohms could not even get warm.. unless the gain was on min....

back in the day we used to put a alarm siren.. but on the negitve side run it into a PCV pipe that is lined with tin foil.. and have a spring inside that is grounded... when the car is moved or shaken the spring touches the tin foil and the siren sounds... make sence?
