i dont wanna be rude... but.. im in kinda of a hurry... and im looking to hear from people who have tryed diffrent firing directions in a trunked car... sub up port up..... up into my trunk lid... there is only 5 inches of space above the box before the lid. sub back port up.... same thing 5 inches at the most before the trunk lid... but i may be more air to the cabin. sub back port back..... thats what i have now... but im passenger side ported and thinking of going center port. i have talked to a man that i know has the skills to make blue prints. hes talking center port,, smooth cornors, double wood all over! thanks guys, o yeah my trunk

welll you have no options of running ported or not. 4x5= 4X8= more air space is normaly better.

i also found that porting on one side made the closer sub bottom out faster... or before the further sub anyway... also that the further sub was fighting the closer port sub to get free..... i know that you both run a one port side box and many people do.... i did aswell.

Another layer of mdf wont help with output. Besides its already got internal bracing. You'll see how sturdy it is when we all meet up. The 45's are a neglible add-on in my opinion and only good for a little more output (maybe .3db max?). Did you ever ask your buddy about that 4 channel RF amp? i muh homeboy is gone for a few years..... and another layer would indeed help output.... see a single layer will flex, causing the air to flex the box and not go in and out.... i gained. a full DB out of changing my cornors and using 1 1/2 wood. i mean just think of the turbulence that a 90 causes... its all about air flow. and a full DB is ALOT> anyhow good job guys.

if your going for max output dont you think there should be another layer on that 3/4 inch? and i know for a fact you will move more air with 45's instead of 90's sorry guys i was headed your way and i got a phone call i had to run:D but next time give me more of a heads up.

yeah you like that sony set up... i did a sony cd/mp3 sony 5x7's and a sony 10 with a profile 8 jigga watt amp. he loves it.
