do I have the SAZ-1500 original or V2?
jonbearsmt replied to 30DZ's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
also i belive the V1 the 1500 was only printed on the amp one way, and the V2 was double printed on both sides of the amp, so you could flip the sundown plate and mount it either way and it would read correctly,. so look for the 1500 printed once or twice -

pics is the easiest way, its a heatsink revision -
im thinking either a monster truck or a street bike................. world of difference between those two woofers.

ill try to put it as "simple" as i can, if you have a car, with a power wire ran, so this.. .get a volt meter, set it to DC voltage, and check the voltage up from at the battery,. then take your multi meter and check your voltage at the end of your run, as it goes into the amp.... example, up front it maybe 12.6 with the car off , but the in the back it will be 12.1 or something, thats because of resistance, when your chasing numbers, every little bit counts, so by running multibale runs of wire you are doing two things, lessing the resistance, and also adding a better current route, another example, say you just ate a jalapeno and you grab your drink to sooth your burning mouth, picture, trying to drink thru one of those little coffee stir stick straws,..... .and then image drinking thru a McDonalds straw, they are huge! the drink flows fast and free.. while with the small little coffee straw its hard and restrictive, i want my power strong and fast. not slow and lazy. in burps you use LOOOADDDSS of power very quickly, pulling a 1000 amps or more in a matter of seconds.

triple 3/4s or dont try it...
-
its a give and take kinda deal.. you can find cheaper alts that do rated but have some fall backs, but what kinda battery do you have and what kinda load? a alternator is not a replacement for reserve bank.

im pretty sure you have 3 recones in boxs,
-
or maybe if you know someone that owns one.. put me in contact???

well mechman made these while eric was there.. but it seems they stopped once he left and matt has no plans on doing any... so im trying to find one else where. 4.6 double idle set up. thanks

ehicle:2000 mercury sable im guessing. big trunk small opening.
-
does anyone remember eric from mechmans screen name on here? i know he left mechman but he was a member here regardless.

its a loop hole in the rules, its set up you are supposed to play full tilt for 30 seconds, but to save battery and subs some of the guys wait untill the end then try to make it up. dani ran full tilt the whole time in the videos, and you can see her second run suffered, i had her to it to gain respect,

fresh new install! do i have enough power for amp/
jonbearsmt replied to tbear55's topic in Newbie Sign IN
from my experience no it will not be enough, and or. it would not be enough for me rather. ill tell you a little bit about why i say so. i had a 200 amp H/o and 2 yellow tops in the rear and 1 under the hood. all 0 gauge with big three, with a saz 3000D on 2 15 inch BLs,@1 ohm,. i suffered low voltage, my amp would run hot, i would blow breakers and i cooked a few alternators, i added, 1 more cell to the rear and it helped. but was still not where i wanted to be.... i ended up with 4 optimas in the rear, and 1 under the hood along with a 200 amp h/o to be able to run cool and stay with decent voltage. @1 ohm. i never ran below. lastly,. i can not for the life of me figure out how you plan to run run dual 2s at 1 ohm daily and comps ay .5 unless your going to run 1 sub daily. -
what makes the # 2 so important to you ? and if you need to know im sure it was because it was a very simple change... not worthy of a full model change
-
no doubt you can learn alot.. and i do .. but... i find that when people dont know somthing.. they just make it up. or discount the info just because they have never read it ...... when i know its so because i fucked that cat... i plowed that field i did that
-
i say the things i do out of EXPERIENCE not because i read it some where on the internet. in my day there was no google to make your self look fucking smart,. either you had done it and you know it or you dont and you dont know shit.... like some people i see here,

Reverse Mounting Subs Question????????
jonbearsmt replied to spare69's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
If you have two subs sharing a box with one inverted for some reason you need to reverse the polarity. They would be "given the same directions" if not. "Push the cone away from the magnet" would mean that one sub would be pressurizing air inside the box (the iverted sub) and the other would be pressurinzing the air outside the sub, and visa versa. If you didn't have them wired differently there would be cancelation and possible damage to the subs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. that is correct. they would be canceling each other out.
