Understood man, No harm no foul. I didnt mean to come off as a jerk either I've been on the boards long enough to see the amount of stupidity that gets thrown around. Thanks again for trying to help. I guess this is just one of those fluke things that happen. chitty deal for me

My amount of posts on here mean absolutely nothing. This is FI's forum thats why its posted here. If you re-read my posts I was not being disrespectful I just take it for granted people arent going to suggest stupid ideas like making sure I push on the center of the cone, I mean come on. I know most of you dont know me on here and therefore dont know how much I know or dont know and thats fine. Thats why i kept saying thanks for trying to help. I'm aware how stupid some kids can be and these bases need to be covered. Again thanks so far to those that have tried to help. But i guess I'll have to call Scott and have him send me a recone.

Nope sub was not dropped, motor isnt shifted. Its really frustrating. It literally wasnt rubbing one day and was the next, this is honestly the kind of luck I have. I'll have to call Scott and just send the damn thing to him to go over it. Thanks again for help.(no sarcasm intended)

Again please just move along, you dont even know what you're talking about. Please quit cluttering my thread with mindless dribble. since you cant help, just quit posting. Thanks.

LOL, ok, i appreciate you trying to help but i know how to push on a cone and i know what my speaker should or should not feel like. It wasnt rubbing when removed from my car, now it is. Thanks though ROFL. If your so smart, why post? Wow thanks for nothing buddy. Why post?? maybe to get help from people that actually know what they are talking about but thanks for playing bye bye.

I know they are actually 1.4 thats why i said something has to be in the gap because the coils read perfect. Thats why I'm gonna be so pissed if I have to have this reconed and I know its not even blown. Do you think I could try I shot of compressed air in the cooling vents?
-
Just some more info, the sub is a dual 2 and both coils read 1.5 so obviously its not blown so something must be stuck in the gap. this is real chitty.
-
Sorry, dual 2, fully loaded, universal and daily.

Hey Scott, Nick or Shawn.. I recently pulled my 15" BTL out of my truck to build a new box and buy a new amp. Its just been sitting and today i go to move it and the coil is rubbing. It was fine when removed so is it possible something got down into the gap? Is there anyway to gain access to the pole vent by removing the screw on the bottom or no? Just let me know if I'm pretty much screwed. The coil isnt burnt looking at all just rubbing out of the blue now. Let me know guys, thanks Doug

Nice find man. I've been on the lookout for a ref. 500 or 700 for a while now but they always seem to go a little higher than I'm willing to pay. Oh well.

Very nice score man. Props again to Sundown

found a new amp.... Sound Stream PCA3500D?
Casper97TA replied to eclipsepb25's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I believe soundstream had a bunch of problems with that model. You should look at a Kicker zx2500.1 or maybe an orion 2500d. Since you got pretty good electrical maybe look into a memphis 4000d -
Treo 750.1 fix..
Casper97TA replied to J31Rob's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
db-r is who I'm having fix my Treo 1500.1. Real nice guys and come highly recommended. I've been lazy about sending it to them. -
Actually its the exact opposite. The lower the freq, the harder it is to be loud at that freq. Thats why spl guys burp at high freq's. If somebody could hit like a 160db at 30hz, that would just be ridiculous, and probably almost impossible.
