ya messing with the timing belt can be a pain sometimes and in some DOHC engines when the timing belt breaks you can bend the valves

I was just referring to the port like at the bottom of this Yamaha. well I guess you really cant call it a down firing port just the sub is my bad. heres a nice outlaw audio LFM-1 down firing ports

Ok heres the beef n chedda In a trunk orientated system how does a (side ported) enclosure perform v/s (sub back port back) or (sub forward port forward) or (sub back port up) for SPL or SQ applications. Example: Kicker DCVR122 v/s DIY DCVR12 enclosure in various port sub positions already mentioned.

whats up with the clifdesigns.com website.......... It frigging says account suspended.

nice trick heh The only thing I can think of is taking advantage of the lateral lines sensitivity to voltage. Or heh using fishing line to make channels for the fish to swim down and hand gestures to prompt the fish to swim down the correct channel. Or lmao im grabbing at straws at this point

kind of neat to see what people liked in the past as to what they like now heh. Im digging the Alpine HU's they have always been very good to me. Im on a kicker kick (pun intended) so far they have been good to me as well Tsunami for all my wiring needs my system is crystal clear. future possible favorite to be: Im liking Sundown's amp reviews and specs ,but haven't used them yet. (yet) Fi has my full attention now with the Q bp, yet again good reviews and specs. I will be using Fi in next install.

sheesh the pizza man all over the news again and again.

nice one DD you got me thinking. I have already dismissed OFC as a purchasing factor, because the only benefit is at very high temperatures such as what happens in engine windings the OFC wire is less brittle so basically there is no difference in conductivity over regular annealed copper. I was just down to the skin factor of annealed copper and different sheathing. heh

DAY 1. As I held my mighty new DMM in hand the earth began to rumble. I knew there was GREAT POWER in this wicked device. I told patrons of the local walmart gather round and gaze at the wonder of which is DMM. With glee in my heart I purchased this mighty splendor and readily traveled home in my fiery steel chariot. BEHOLD I exclaimed at the top of my voice to my kinsmen. The gods have been good to us and provided a tool of unimaginable power. Let us pay homage to the rock gods with earth shattering bass. After I shook the earth and scorched the sky, I truly knew I had done well and the gods would be pleased. DAY 2. The mighty DMM glistened in the sunlight while I made the final connection and soon the secrets of this amp will be revealed. I couldn't believe my eyes. The mighty rock gods cursed me with a faulty DMM. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO To be continued.

I was just watching cnn tonight and they were reporting on a utube video of a two year old rolling on x. the baby was in a van with nine other people and they were all laughing and thought that the baby who was having seizers and rolling her eyes back into her head was funny. Apperently the other kids in the van gave the x to the baby. I tried to look for the vid on utube but couldnt find it. I guess NO charges will be made to the kids or the adult driving the car as of yet. Im just so disgusted after watching this report.

but doesnt a down firing port in home audio get diffused by having a cone in the path of the port.

if memory serves me correct when excited the free electron in copper travels along the outside surface of the wire, so there for, the more surface area the better transfer of electrons. Multi-stranded copper wire has a better surface area than solid wire. Strand count isnt just a term for how flexible the wire is. Keep this in mind when buying alternative wire not designed for optimum power transfer. Ex: wire designed for welders. Dont get me wrong im sure it will work just fine, but when your trying to squeeze out every ounce of voltage you can I would use a power cable designed for audio power transfer IMHO. Now about the fuse in the alt line. For optimum power transfer a fuse is nothing more than a bottle neck. I know the fuse is a good idea for protecting the alt if a accidental grounding occurs, but your never going to achieve maximum continuity. IMHO

I totally agree denim. Just seeing any child abused I tend to loose perspective on justice. As a parent nothing else matters but family. (sigh) when will people realize whats truly important.

Yes I agree something should be done.

Yes its disturbing to see pictures of the holocaust, but people need to see it so that it never happens again. Who knows maybe someone will see the vid and make a change for the better in their lives. So am I disturbed?

The people that gave the x to the baby was from Houston TX

trying to out do some other kids? I would love get a hold of those idiots and beat them within a inch of their lives. Then put them in jail and toss the key. And thats just the kids involved not the adults. I would have something special in store for them...

ok now im thinking of making a dual ported dual 12" enclosure (one sub and port facing the drivers side and one sub and port facing the passenger side) was the sub pointed up at say a 15% angle from the port or were they both 90%
