Hmmmm, ok. Say both drivers are setup in their optimum recommended enclosures tuned for LSQ. Both subs have around the same amount of Xmax, except the 2 10s together have 20 inches of surface area vs 15 inches. However I'm sure the 15 would have the capability of dropping lower. 2 10's don't have 20inches of surface area. They have 95 sqin of surface while a single 15 has almost 125 sqin of surface... I thought cone area was diameter divided by two, multiplied by itself, times 3.14... so 2 10" would have 157 sq. in. cone area and 1 15" would have 177 sq. in. cone area. cone area is CONE area...not just diameter of the basket divided by two. Think about it... "CONE area" speaks for itself...there should be no explanation.

Different frequency responses...different group delays. This will make for very sloppy bass

Can I get music off of a cell phone through my head unit's USB?
aznboi3644 replied to saltonasnail's topic in General Audio
yeah it you can...my friend does it with his phone. Like adrian said the unit sees the phone as just a memory device like a flash drive. -
I have the Kenwood 6x8s from best buy in my exploder. The main sound is from the installation. I have three layers of deadening on the inner panels and two strips of deadener on the outer door skin. Just by dampening the door everyone who listens to my front 6x8's with 50 watts to each thinks they are hearing speakers that are easily $100 dollars more than my kenwoods (40 bucks for the pair)
-
I'll try to take a video of my front speaks in my Exploder...after the sound deadening the bass and dynamics was unreal compared to stock. What kind of speakers do you have up there KU??

Advantages of TL and bandpass enclocures?
aznboi3644 replied to imhungnurnot's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
My TL for my exploder and a single 12 was pretty big for its size...8 cu ft outer dimensions -
that enclosure is a front loaded horn...supposedly more of an sq enclosure

how much for shipping to 47715 -
pretty much everything about a speaker. cars work on the same principles but why don't all of them have different specs in every aspect??
-
I would rather build two of those than double the size...much easier to move and if one sub goes the other won't be in a 6 cu ft ported enclosure
-
so what if the cone bracing is plastic?? its the design behind the bracing not what its made of. Also how else would the bracing be attached to the cone?? everyone part on the sub is glued together...you thing they weld paper to rubber?? Kids build bridges out of wood sticks and glue yet the bridges can hold hundreds of pounds. Saying the bracing is plastic means nothing
-
have you tried searching??

nice score for a sealed box...lol better than my friends two mojo 12's and 2200 watts
