isobaric vs. regular ported box for 2 12s..
aznboi3644 replied to the mange's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
actually adding another one on your current enclosure will change the bass response drastically. You will essentially have a single 12 SSD in a 5 cu ft enclosure. Isobaric loading halves the Vas...making the enclosure seem twice as big to the driver -
I smoke....cigs and weed...slowing down on both though. rolling my one cigarettes helps...its more work for the one cigarette but I also enjoy rolling. Used to smoke a pack a day...what works for me to not smoke is if I am at home. I won't smoke at all if I'm at home...it doesn't even cross my mind.

crazy to see a 5 year old able to do a planch
-
The enclosure does not control the cone of the driver below tuning...the only thing controlling the subwoofer is the suspension

Beer to that

Fs of 27 and VAS of 80L, is that a decent candidate?

I would go with a low tuned ported enclosure With that little power you can make the enclosure a little on the large side to improve efficiency. -
lol wow this suggestion is IMO stupid. Dry ice = compressed CO2...CO2 does not help anything with fire. I thought most people knew that dry ice was CO2...thats why you don't stick your head in a cooler with dry ice...you'll pass out and freeze your face off

how much voltage drop is too much?
aznboi3644 replied to ppiflat10s's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
My level of "low" is if it is dipping into the battery reserve a lot than that is too low. depends on the battery's float voltage than. If the battery rests at 12 volts and the drop is only down to 12.5 than you are fine...but 12 volts flat for a battery is low anyways -
My t-line was much more defined and noticeably more transient than even a sealed enclosure...subwoofer was the old school JL Audio 12W6 with the dual 6 ohm coils. I say good luck with the build
-
I would rather use a couple 8s in a ported enclosure or even a single 8 ported than shallow mount subs.
-
I had a Type R 12 in a 33Hz 1/4 wave pipe...gave it 1000 watts all day with no problems...the suspension finally loosened up after being underpowered in a sealed box for two years. But the suspension was perfectly fine...no noises at all right to near xmax.
-
That or I would build a bigger sealed enclosure
-
there is no "average" sized chamber as there are no one size fits all prefab enclosures. each chamber and tuning frequencies are specific to the driver and install.

Can you not read???
-
basically it is a shot in the dark of how it will sound in the vehicle
-
not sure how that models out but the outcome depends on the loading environment. 6th orders aren't necessarily first time success builds
-
It will sound like crap and won't pound at all. You have ~28 sq in of port area. That port is going to compress and you will be hearing a very leaky sealed enclosure. For an 18 I would use atleast two 6" aeros...I would use atleast three 6" round ports. So you need atleast four more...but that would be stupid. using an 8" sonotub would be much better and cheaper

Ok all you electrical engineers and physicists, and other know-it-alls

not only when the candles are being lit...when he blows them out his right hand "for no reason goes under the table" at the same time the objects stop -
Who likes building Monster PCs?
aznboi3644 replied to shizzzon's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
I wish I had the money to build a huge computer...college lol Last week just bought me an Asus U81 notebook though...not bad for 700 notebook. 64 bit OS, 4G ram, dual 2.1GHz processors, and my favorite is the facial recognition. All I do is press power and look at the camera and it logs me on. I'm not much of a computer nerd nor do I know a lot about all the different processors and what not. But I just have certain performance standards. Comparing this notebook to any other Dells or HPs it owns them. Same price for performance for the Dells or HPs was around 1200 for the same performance. -
I use nothing...not really needed

why would stating your opinion about a product not be allowed. This is a discussion forum. This isn't eD's forum where any thread bashing them is immediately deleted

try out one sub in 2.5 cu ft tuned to 33Hz to start
-
2- SSD 18's in 6.6cu.ft. before displacement???
aznboi3644 replied to d_man1987's topic in Fi Technical
iso-mount the subs and you can fit both of those 18s ported -
3in one way ??? u serious??
