I'm reading the depth of the box as 16". That means you have 10" of mounting depth for the sub. Remember that the sub mounts on the outside of the box so you don't just go by internal box dimension. Also if your sub has the cooling option (pole plug) then there's no need for space behind the magnet cause air doesn't flow through the pole vent anymore. Mounting depth is about 9 3/4". Maybe a hair over that. Outer diameter is about 15 5/8". I always cut to 16" for a little extra clearance. Cut out is 13 7/8".

There's already plenty of good advice over there. Do what NightShade said and try sub forward & a single 6" aero port to the driver's side. It's a proven design that works well. Also try just moving your current box around. Move it back to where it's almost touching the back of the car (with sub & ports still facing back) and see what happens. Then try turning it around and facing the sub & port forward with the box all the way up against the back of the car. Next turn it sideways and shove it into the far back passenger side corner firing towards the driver's said with the port against the back of the car. If you haven't tried this yet then get to work. Spl is all about finding what your vehicle likes and getting in that sweet spot.

I would want at least a 200a alt, good group34 batt under the hood, and a good group31 batt in the back. I believe in overkill though so in this order get the biggest alt you can afford, biggest batt you can afford in the back, then biggest batt you can afford under the hood.

2 layers of 3/4"

A 154 @ 45hz is very different than a 154 @ 53hz. That's the first time I've ever seen the Jeep flex that bad. I swear the windshield was buldging and door frames were bowing out.

You'll see more power with the pair of saz-1500s since they'll be at 0.67 each compared to the saz-3500 at 1.33. I used to have that exact same setup and adding a 3rd bl18 made very little difference it ouput because the power got spread out more. A single saz-3000d @ 0.5ohm on 2 Bl 18s was 1db louder than 3 bl 18s with a pair of saz-1500s @ 0.67.

Now those are what I'm waiting for. More motor force + less moving mass = me extra happy!
-
It's the same height & width of the rest of the Sundown SAZ amplifiers and only 2.5" longer than the saz-3000d.
-
I know that wasn't easy work. Looking good.

1 saz 3000d or 2 saz 1500d or 2 t10001bd

After testing out the z15s on a saz-3000d I have no doubt they'll handle one daily (if set properly). During my testing they never even got remotely warm. -

I can tell you from 1st hand experience that the Sundowns will be drastically more efficient than the RFs. IMO get the 2 z15s and a saz-3000d. -
Cut out for the chrome basket 15" is 13 13/16". Black basket is 13 7/8". For flush mounting the sub I always cut it to 16" for a little clearance. The actual outer diameter is 15 5/8". The mounting depth is 9 3/4".

Electrical for a Sundown 2000d and sax 100.4

Contact MechMan about an alternator. They custom machine their own alts for various applications. They can get expensive though. -
Why would you need Brandon when you have Gary for whoring purposes ? Gary's lost his appeal. Brandon makes reconing sexy. :bigclap:
-
If you want to stick with yellow tops definitely get the G31s. Don't waste your time with the smaller D34. Using the 200a alt will depend on your listening taste. At full tilt it won't be able to keep up & you'll be relying strictly on battery power. Get the biggest best batteries you can.
-
How much to just whore Brandon out for personal use?
-
People need to jump on this. These are some great subs.
-
My brother is using all Knukonceptz rcas in his Excursion and they're working fine. I don't know the exact model they are though. Also the amps are not strapped but a Maxx-Link is being used.
-
There are a lot of Db Drag guys that swear by it and say it'll add 1-2db. I've never personally believed in deadening myself but it's come that time to test it out.
-
Oh... good luck with the deadening.
-
Those sure are some beefy looking subs. The motors make those 15s look like 12s.
-
The BLs will handle that power as long as it's setup properly.

I think he'll be needing a new basket and drop-in.

"max rms" makes me giggle. We've seen 2600watts @ 1.1ohms & 12.9v out of the saz-2000d.
