    LV 4 15

Just an update, the setup we demo'd at the Term-Lab Session did a 143.3db(dB Drag style, but car on). It was in a 2000 Chevy Blazer(stock electrical) on a US Amps MD2D('06?) playing "A Bay Bay". The box is 4ft^3 tuned to 33hz with both sub and port firing back. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

    Single Cab Truck Installs

Thanks! If I didn't keep switching in and out different boxes and sub setups, I'd clean up my wiring. Those pics were taken back in January, but now I have a much shallower box that allows me to move my seats practically all the way back. With the old box(the one pictured), I'd drive almost all the way up on the steering wheel, and passengers would have their knees up against my glovebox. I'll try and take some pics tomorrow of the new box. There's a car show Saturday night that there is suppose to be a soundoff at. I might tear out my daily setup tomorrow morning and throw in my comp(spl) setup to compete. If I have the time, I'll try to take pics of both setups. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

    Single Cab Truck Installs

Here's mine, it's a 1998 Chevrolet S10. I've since replaced the MTX amp for my components with an ED NINe.2x and made a new box for the DD 3510d. The old box was too deep, so I made the new box shallower and longer to compensate. Both boxes are 1.5ft^3 net with DD's reccomended port(according to DD it's tuned to 40hz, but using various online calculators, it seems to be tuned to 45hz). The old box "sounded" louder, and maybe played deeper, but maybe it's just me. I keep changing around my setup, so I haven't taken the time to clean up my spaghetti mess(wiring). Score

Like tejcurrent said, more port area may be very helpful. I personally feel that two 4" aeroports aren't enough for larger subs, however, some company's(even TC Sounds) recommend two 4" ports for a 15" sub. Good luck, and keep us up to date with what you do. ALOHAZ, SKY

    Recommended Enclosures?

So the general rule for Level 4 subs daily is tuned to 33hz? 5-8ft^3 I would assume would be recommendations for LV 4 18"s, correct me if I'm wrong. I was more or less looking for box recommendations for each size(10", 12", 15", 18"). Does 12-16in^2 of port area per 1ft^3 sound about right? Thanks again for your time and help! Recommended Enclosures?

I'm really thinking of ordering up a couple of Level 4 subs for my cousins and I, but I am curious as to what you guys recommend as spec boxes as far as Volume/Port Area/Tuning? Thanks in advance! ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

    single 10 build

So we are looking at next week Sunday, July 15, 2007. Here's a link to the thread I started on forumshawaii.net- Term-Lab Session 2. So far, I know for certain that 2 guys are coming out to get metered, and a couple of others are coming out just to check it out. ALOHAZ, SKY

    From: Sundown Amplifier FAQ

I was just wondering what brand of rca cable you used to connect the two amps. I'm having a hard time finding a decent quality mono rca cable in shorter lengths(3ft or less). Thanks for your help! ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

    single 10 build

Howzit guys, finally got on here. Anyway, you guys down for another session? Looks like Kyle(Special-T Tinting) didn't really have another comp in the works. I was hoping he would do one at the end of July like last year, but as far as I know, he wasn't planning on one. Some of us on hawaiiforums been trying to talk him into organizing another one, but his response was something like, "I'm busy right now, but if I have the time, it might be a possiblity." So, I'm looking at possibly getting another session together on Sunday, July 15 at King Intermediate around the same time as the last time. I still have to see if we can get the Auto Shop again, so let me know so I can set it up. Checkout the "In Car Entertainment" forum in the Classified section of hawaiiforums.net for an official announcement. As for me, I have been working on another daily box for my DD 3510d, one that'll fit behind my seats a little better. I haven't touched my SPL box since the last session, after my ports fell apart when the duct tape failed. Hopefully I'll get the daily box done soon so I can work on the ports for my comp box. Gonna shorten them again to raise my tunning, somewhere around 50hz. Alright boys, I'll talk to you guys soon! ALOHAZ, SKY
