Yes, USPS is our mail carrier. Would there possibly be any added expense? -

Electrical for a Sundown 2000d and sax 100.4

Just an FYI, I believe the ETA is end of June. ALOHA, SKY -
I use those RCAs in both my S10 and my Blazer, and only have problems with one plug "biting" too much. I have two different sets of RCAs(four individual single channel) I use for strapping depending on my layout and how long I need them, one is 16"(Dayton) and the other is 1m(Monster). I got both from Parts Express and I believe they were both two seperate RCAs(not connected). I also have a pair of Maxx-Links I have yet to install :bigclap: ALOHA, SKY

2 12 nightshades capability of getting louder options
hawaiianmaxx replied to drapedupDTS's topic in Sundown Audio
Here's one of my daily setups. My truck is 1995 Chevy Blazer 4dr. The electrical consists of a 200a EA alt, MLA Module, Yellow Top under the hood, two Deka 9a31's in the back. The subs are original bone-stock Nightshades(from the blowout special), no cooling, short coil, old glue. Box wasn't built for these subs. After punching some numbers it's 3.87ft^3 @ 38hz w/ 61.88in^2 of port. Amp is a single SAZ-3000D. The Setup Subs wired to 1ohm, burped @ 50hz Subs wired to 0.25ohm, NOT RECOMMENDED, burped @ 51hz Video, car on, legal, rolled volume ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY -
I believe this is considered the "new crx" style box. People have seen improvement of scores over the standard crx style(sub up/port back) with this type of enclosure. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

I would consider myself a "lurker" when it comes to forums. I compete in the local SPL scene here on Oahu and am a member of Team Sundown. Anyway, I've reached a landmark in my brief SPL career the other day and decided to share it with fellow Sundown Audio enthusiasts. In testing I was able to break the 150db mark on the Term-Lab, now to do it in competititon. Here's some info, pics, and vids of my current setup. Hope you guys like it! 1995 Chevrolet Blazer 4dr KnuKonceptz wiring throughout 200 EA alt MLA module Optima Yellow Top Deka Intimidator 9a31(x2) Kenwood x589 + 6 disc changer Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 MB Quart Premium PVF 216 6.5" components Sundown Audio SAZ-3000D Sundwon Audio Nightshade 12"(x2) 3.87ft^3 @ 38hz(61.88in^2 port) 150.2db TL @ 51hz (legal, car on) Wired at 1ohm nominal Wired at 0.25ohm nominal ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

I built this box for a pair of DC Audio LV4 12's, so it's a little bigger than reccomended. Port area ratio is just under 16in^2 per cube. I have a bunch of 4" and 6" Precision Ports that have been collecting dust for a long time. I'm thinking of doing a new box right at 3ft^3 for the Nightshades that will utilize swapable "aeroports" for daily and competition. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

PSP Calculator This is the calculator I use for my ports. I have used both 6" and 4" versions of the Precision Port purchased from Parts Express. As far as displacement goes, I just estimate it calculating the volume of a cylinder equal to the length of the port I am using. It would be difficult to calculate exact displacement due to the flares, but this will get you close enough. Volume of a cylinder = (pi)r^2*h, where r=radius of the port and h=height/length of the port. Hope this helps. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

Not conventionally, I believe you need the Maxxlink. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

So his score on a TL would be 3.5-4db's higher? Maybe I'm understanding it wrong. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

How would 6 of these sealed in a regular cab S10 do on a 1500d??? I've had a DD 3510d ported and most recently a pair of DD 1508's ported also. Sorry Jacob, I'm kinda thinking out loud. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

Not sure if I missed it, but do these require inverted mounting or a spit baffle??? Oh, and did you get a chance to measure it's mounting depth Jake? I use to compete locally in what we refered to as Class A, single 10"/dual 8" setups. In fact both yama168(Myron) and I placed in the top 3 at the last comp we had here. One or even a couple of these would be fun to fool around with! ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY

Kind of an oxymoron... LOL! I know exactly what you mean though. I live on the windward side of Oahu in Hawaii, and we have days/weeks/months like that. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY PS Jake if you ever do come to Oahu, we we'll definitely take you to our weekly watering hole, Lisa's House. A bunch of us car audio enthusiasts meet there every Wednesday night too "shoot the chit" about car audio.

Aloha Mike, just wondering what kind of power you think those Orphans can take. I'm a friend of Myron aka yama168, and have always been impressed with his different RL-i 8 setups. Also, do you think these will do well in enclosures that your RL-i 8's thrived in? Pretty interested. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
