Im ordering a 15 Q soon and am going to start on my box for it. I was messing with re box calculator and having a few problems getting the right size, i have limited space in the trunk of my civic. I am going to run it ported at around 32hz and would like to get as much cubic feet as i can out of my trunk, any help would be appreciated. Box can not be wider than 34 inches, can not be taller than 16 inches, and can not be deeper than 18 inches, any help would be a appreciated. The cubic feet part is easy to me but the whole port part and how long the port should be is confusing to me. thanks Also on the re box calculator site which number do i use to figure out the 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume. Is it the total port length oe the square port area? if i know this i should be able to figure the rest out, thanks

The area you use to compute the length, therefore you input the area and the software computes the length. Personally I do it by hand as I don't trust those online things though. sorry still a lil confused, so do i take the total port length divided by the cubic feet? or do i take the total port area divided by the cubic feet? anyone? i need to get started on a box so i need some help on this

Having a problem figuring out a few lil things, recomended for the Q is 12-16 square inches of port area per cubic foot. Well Im using the re audio box caculator for a slot port box and not sure what number is the port area number, Is it the total port length or the total port area?

well all i really need to know is which number do i use to figure out the 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume. Is it the total port length or the square port area? if i know this i should be able figure it out. I was using this site to design my box http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html

I was wondering is doesnt have a size recommended for the 15 ssd in a sealed box? Is there a reaosn for this? would they sound good in a sealed box? If anyone is running them in a sealed box how many cubic feet do u have them in? I cant run them in a ported box because the box would be to big to fit in my civic, any help would be appreciated, thanks

I'm going to run my 15 SSD in a 3.8 cuft box sealed. I haven't powered finished my setup yet, but when I do I'll be more than happy to report how it sounds. Sounds good any info would be appreciated

Well as i stated before i cant go ported do to the size of my trunk in my civic, i could if i had 2 12's but im taking about 15's. So back to what i asked before has any ran 2 15" ssd's in a seal box? Need some help here, thanks

So i can get a 15 ssd with bp and flat for 269, or i can get a 15Q plain for 279, and no option BL for 279 but im sure i would have to add some options like cooling for daily pounding, So i think the BL is out, so its between the ssd and the q, i know that the bp option on the ssd raises power handling but what does it actually mean? what is added to the sub to make it handle more power? go for the Q with BP Why a q with bp? wouldnt a stock q be fine sonce im running a 1000 watts? and like i asked before what does the bp option include? i knwo it raises the rms but what is done to the sub for the bp option?

Im looking into getting a 15 for daily use. I want it to be a daily pounder that sounds good also. i mostly listen to rap music. I got a memphis 1000D to run it and im looking at either the SSD or the Q, im on a budget so not sure which one i need with what options? Moeny wise which would be the best sub for what i am looking for? Only thin i know is it has to be a dual 2 ohm. help me out thanks

I have been told the 12 ssd weighs 25 pounds, i was curious what does a stock 12" Q weigh? Just curious because i might get one if i can sell my 2 12" HCCA's old schools.

so a stock q is 27 pounds? wondering if the person that told me the stock ssd was 25 pounds was telling me the right weight?
