Well, i ran the 15" SSD with Copper Coil option on a Hifonics BXI1206D (IDENTICAL I KNOW RIGHT?!) Box was ~2.5ft^3, with a plug port. Meaning, 33hz with plug in (Rap bass would blow my mind) and pull the plug out and 44 hz tune. Ive never heard rock sound so amazing with the port out, it was so clear and crisp. If your willing to have fun and get tuned in right, 15" ported. If you wanna slap a box together and put the sub in and just turn on the music, sealed. Edit: I live just down the road for you. Id show you my setup but i sold it. Still have the box iirc though.

Well if you think about it, at worst they just have to recone it, the motor is in perfect condition just been sitting in the sub box, but i understand where your coming from. I put it up on termpro but i might have asked too much, $175 for it, which isnt much of a discount, any idea on how much i should post it for?

As the title suggest, can I resell or trade back the 15" SSD I have that is still in great shape for some credit for purchase of a "bigger" and "badder" sub? Looking for 15" BL with a few options and different ohm load. Advice? Input? PMs? Please let me know! The Q would be great, but at the very least to big 3 in 1/0 gauge. I was skeptical to put in another battery, but when i replaced my stock with an Optima Red Top is was very impressed, and it was only like $180.

Just remember once its out of Scotts hands and in UPS's dont blame Scott for late shipping. UPS tends to be slow sometimes, just thought I would say. Dont fret too much, itll get there, your going to open the box and say "F*** me :boner:" Remember to take pics, we like pics.

Why let you have fun when I can do it all to myself?! It was more of a sarcastic tone in there. I do plan on running 2000RMS in comps to try to get my 145. 1200 watts 142.5 with HU skipping so i know its in there. Scott if you get a email asking for a recone from me thats why. In all seriousness the few people who've been in "the game" for quite some while are confident i can run 1500+ clean signal to really get this thing wangin, so heck, my not give it a try. Its not like its a $500 sub.

As of right now my 15" SSD with Copper coil is running 1200 watts and isnt breaking a sweat, going to try 2000 and see how far i can pop the dust cap off.

My buddy built this box for me, its CRX style, and has a plug to tune it to 33hz if im itchin for some lows. I want to meter it on that too!

Tune higher? Going sealed will PROBABLY not bring the peak up...it will probably make the peak point seem lower. edit: Try a BTL? Mine SLAMS NUTS between 40-70. Try tuning to 45ish hz. My SSD15 couldnt hit squat for high end at 33 hz, now its finally vibrating my volvos steel hatch to the point where its almost too loud. To give a comparison, "this is why im hot" @ 33 hit lows amazingly, but couldnt hear the highs... the stock midranges were hitting harder. @46 Its gettin to the point where its too loud on the highs. Just my .2

Just to give you guys an idea of a score these can put up... 142.5 outlaw on a Hifonic BXI1206d, stock electric, 4 gauge wire. Done in a 1988 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon. Box was 3.75ft^3. 46Hz. Burp done at 48 Hz. Being it was my first even I got nervouse on the sweep and screwed that, so had no peak freq yet. So Being as my peak was 46 in my old Subaru wagon with a different box I figured it could be round abouts there. At 140ish Dbs my CD player started to skip, so I was stuck rolling the volume and capped at 142.5. Only imagine if I knew my peak and the CD player didnt skip . Just thought I would post the score. Remember, 3.75 cubes, 15" SSD, stock electric probably getting just under 1krms to the sub. Not too bad in my eyes, im sure theres better, but 3rd place stock 0-600 isnt too shabby in my eyes ^^. --Bob
