plan is to run a single 3000 for 2 18's. Maybe later down the road it will be a 3000 per sub.

Got a few questions for you. I am in the process of about to start a wall in a geo prizm(dont laugh). My original plan was to do 2 DC LVL 5 18's. The wall will be tuned to 32hz and im looking for a sub that can keep up on the lows. I slow alot of my songs down and wondered if you think the nightshades could do it? Would this call for the long coil version? Also what kind of time frame until these hit the reps??

2 sundown 3000's will do the trick.

honestly i am not sure what the subs need. The subs will be at the top of the wall with the port running along the bottom of the wall. Stratusrt01 will be building the wall for me starting in 2 weeks probably. I was guesstimating maybe trying to get 12-15 cubes out of the wall but im not sure!

Well i am fixing to give you guys a try out. I will be walling off a 93 Geo Prizm with 2 lvl 5 18's and 2 sundown 3000's. thought id post this here as i will have the car at the builders house maybe next week. Any advice on the LVL 5's. i plan to tune between 32-35hz!

true. I wished i had the knowledge and funds to build a sub. But thats not me. The Z is an awesome sub nonetheless but its not for everyone.
-
that is far from daily!!!!

the z-series would be the LMS killer if it used a linear coil and the fs was brought down alot. But its not now in the lanes it will destroy just about anything out there, but put it in a daily application and it wouldnt do poo!

im sure DD has enough experience working with 3" coils that they know how to make them take the heat.
-
well the added cooling you would get from it would make it pretty special IMHO. That design would be awesome with a shorter coil so that bad boy could get some more xmax going on

Dj langford made most of what your reading about the z up. He said he wanted to poke fun at all the other sub companies that tend to put bogus specs about there product and try to sell it. Looking at those pics i didnt realize that the coil was exposed like that. You can see the Pole and everything. Pretty neat.

if you make an amp big enough and at the right price then i imagine that you can get alot of people running other brands to switch, maybe something to think about.

Are here ill show my little setup, its a single audioque hdc3 15 running half an ohm on a sundown 1500d. box is a t-line built by rich. and as u can see i stated my camera wont pick up flex, its loud though.

if he is smelling the coils then he has obviously already reached the coils thermal limits. putting it in a smaller box wont help anything but the mechanical side.

site is working now!
