its for a single 12. i have the cd player and amp ordered. going to be putting those in friday and picked up stuff to make the box. just have to order the sub now. probably going to go ahead and do the box to make sure i get it right before the subs gets here so i can just wire it up and try it when it gets here

ill be moving the passenger seat up a little when i dont have anyone in there but want my seat leaned back on the box so i would need the port firing up or out the side. thats why i thought the aero is the easiest way for me to go

i thought you needed 12 to 16 inches of port area per square foot. how would i need 35 square inches for such a small box?

    how can i contact aa/fi??

i was kind of the same way. i tried contacting fi with no response. i heard they were switching locations or something and were very busy so i had to go in another direction :/
  10. i only have about 2.0 to 2.2 cubic foot to work with before sub displacement and port displacement. i know the 12 calls for 1.8 to 2.5 before displacement so i was wondering if it would be better for me to run 2 10's sealed and be more efficient instead of trying to squeeze in the 12 ported edit: sorry i hate this computer i meant 2 10 sealed or 1 12 ported sorry . . .

im gonna go with the ssd , 10 or 12 most likely the 12. i think aero port because i think i would be able to do that better because i dont have any experience with a slot port

i downloaded the torres box tuning calculator and it gives all the cut pieces you need and everything put it has it where you put in for slot ports. if anyone can help me out and give me the rough dimensions i need to put in to the port pieces i can get everything cut and put together i just dont know about getting the port dimensions right

help newb with his first setup

since it calls for up to 1.2 cubic foot the box i was suggesting is 1.3 before driver and port displacement

http://www.psp-inc.com/tools.html since i need more portit says with this i could use 2 3" ports at 24 inches or 1 4" port at 20 for 34 hz, i dont really understand how all this works just trying to get the best box for the sub
  17. i would like to know as well

great. thanks for all your help. i posted this on the fi part but didnt get any help. i was thinking about doing a 1.5 cubic foot box with the sub on the passenger side and a 3 " aero port coming out behind the driver seat 10 inches long to tune it to 33 hz i think would that be fine

looks like its going to be the 10" ssd in a 1.5 cubic foot ported box on a rockford r1200.1 amp. with taking time on the box build and properly setting it all up hopefully ill be happy with it

i hate the decisions, im pretty mindset to do the 1 10 ported for now and then have the option to upgrade to another one later and upgrade amp. sounds like the fi ssd and sundown sa's are both great options, only difference i can really see if seems like the ssd likes to handle a little more power

ill look into it definitely. i posted this in the fi section but got no respone. i was thinking about doing 1 fi ssd 10 ported and if i wanted to add another later. make a 1.5 cubic foot ported box because i know that will give me plenty of room
