  1. 4 gauge, ground going from amp to chassis, power from amp to the batt with a maxi fuse. No fuses on the amp itself.
  2. I think its something to do with voltage, I don't have a voltmeter though.
  3. Steering wheel bar, it goes into protect if you shut off the car and turn it back on, whether thats 2 seconds after you start it or 5 mins of bumpin beats.
  4. I have switched the battery and nothing different, checked the ground and its solid.
  5. I have a JX1000/1d and when ever I start my car it works fine green light and music bumpin. I turn the car off to take the bar off, turn it back on and its in protect and wont turn green unless I wait a long time. It only works first start up, I checked the ohms coming from the sub and its a steady 2.0 and also took all the wiring off the amp and put it back on, still nothing. Really pissed off Iv checked everything I can think, anybody have this prob before?

    Big box, small port area?

    Big box, small port area?

Yeah I'm going with the 8" diameter that's 23" in length tuned @33 hz. 50 sq" of port should fuckin pound.

It would look alot better with another 3" though, could I do that? It would be to small I think. Thanks rick.

    Big box, small port area?

An 8 would be good if you can make it work. Yeah, It would be half in half out though. Is 50sq" to much?

    Big box, small port area?

Could I put a second 3" port? Can't fit another 4, but I could do an 8" with 50sq" area too.

    Big box, small port area?

No, how much power are you running? I can get 29 sq" of port area with a 6" diameter. Only 900wrms running to it so would it matter?

    Big box, small port area?

How many sq" should I have? Is 20 enough?

    Big box, small port area?

I know I fucked up it was my first box but just trying to see if it would still work before cutting a bigger hole and putting in bigger pipe.
  15. I have a 4.1 cubic foot box with a IA DR 15 in it with a round port. It's tuned to 30hz with a 4" diameter and a 10" long tube that come out to 12.5 "sq area. I have not listened to it yet, but is this enough port area? Will it hurt the sub?
