-
only 1700 watts, yeah ok
-
try ikesound.com they're only like $75

yeah my goal would be 2 pair of identical amps on 1 maxxlink , thanks for clearing that up . what woofers do you run i've got my amps picked out i'm just trying to decide on woofers It depends on your goal. If you have the money, critical mass UL12 subwoofer would be my first and only pic for SQ. It sounds terrific, loud and light as a feather. I have 3 of them. I also recommend FI audio, DD audio or Kicker, mainly Solo x. But if those are not in your budget, FI audio again. My opinion, FI audio are the best sounding subs for the money. For spl nothing beats DD, now once again, in my opinion. But Jake may come out with an answer for that. If DD is out of your budget range, T3 audio is great as well. But the SAZ3000D's are great amps no matter what your budget is. And I am sure you all will agree. Ray (Team Man-Up) But the SAZ3000D's are great amps no matter what your budget is. And I am sure you all will agree. X2 I love mine

Quit playin, like u really needed 2! Thats insane if your ever in the chicago land area please let me know. I wanna go deaf too -
Sounds to me like u needed to invest in a alarm, all b.s. aside I know how that feels and it does suck. What kinda insurance do u have, I hope it's not Lia.
-
If u enjoy listening to the W3's Look into the Sundown SD-1 drivers on sale now! And no I don't work for Sundown Audio.
-
I used to live in carmel if that makes u feel any better but moved to Bloomington IL
-
Well how about 12-12's
-
Jake what kinda deal could you do on 12 of the 10's ???
-
Sits at 1.8. Also I think I found some of the problem. I had a bad battery. As soon as I unhooked it from the others it went to 10.3 and the others sat at 13. So I might have had some clipping going on. 1.8ohm bridged or per side ? mine was 2.3ohm bridged / went into protect and never recovered / was a nightmare dealing with Massive getting re[aired / bassiclly they blame the customer and wont warranty it So did u ever get it fixed?
-
Yeah ur first cd to bump shoulda been Gorilla Zoe. listen to Juicebox on those 15's
-
Are you tuning your new box freq to 55 or are u going to try to change the whole resonance freq? If your just going to tune the box to 55 there's an easier way than tearing the whole thing out and starting again.

Info has been sent Thanks

Could you guys @ Fi recone a Poweramper XP2 18" if your not familiar with that it's identical in everyway to a old school Juggernaut. Please any help would be greatly appericated. It has a 3" VC but I'm not sure about the diameter of the spiders.

Since you plan on piecing you setup together overtime IMO I'd go w\ a SAZ 1500 until you finish your electrical system, save up again and get another SAZ 1500. I don't know anything about ma audio but I have a SAZ 3000 and it was worth every penny. When putting together a system you don't want to be a cheapskate when it comes to the amp you'll just be wasting your money on a awesome sub. You'll never hear the full potential of the BTL otherwise.

I think he meant that the cone seperated from the voice coil, I've seen it happen before but not with 400 watts.
-
Where's the NightShade Jake????
-
Check all of your wire connections. I'll bet you have a bad ground somewhere.

at least i'm not the only one....I've got two 8000 10's with broke tinsels, had spoke with scott about reconing them into 12's a few months back. Now i'm leaning toward 15"s Scott, if i were to take one appart what measurments would you need me to get? I have a caliper and am not afraid to use it. I think that it might have been a common problem on the 8000, im sorry i ever bought those i was assuming that they would have been better then the 7000s boy was i wrong. Scott I will wait to see if weasles information from the caliper grants them to be reconable cause I would much have them reconed. I replaced the leads on them about 5 times each woofer just cause i couldn't find the right kind of wire. If they aren't able to be reconed then i will shoot you an email for lead wire. I had 2 12" 8000's and yes the lead wire burning off is a very common problem with that model for some reason. I do not suggest fixing them your self they'll keep finding weak parts and keep breaking. I had mine in a sealed enclosure @ first and went ported to try to limit the excursion and turned my amp down and eventually traded them in at circuit city for the type R's, wasn't happy with either .

Yes and no, The SAZ-3000D is strappable to another one for a underrated 6000watts and No it's not 2 amps in one chassis\heatsink.
-
i also want to know whats the smallest you can go ported and still sound good On a budget a good amp 2 have @ 2ohms would be a HiFonics BXI1606D look for them on E-bay you can find them for around $250 but if you want the absolute best you could strap 2 Sundown Audio SAE-1000D you'd have to contact SSA for your best price on those. About the box I wouldn't do anything smaller than whats recommended which I think is 4.5 each so I wouldn't stray to far from that. Hope that helped!
-
The problem is your missing 2 cylinders
-
Yes, bills do suck and where can you find the 2500 for $400 less than the 3000. I'm positive you can't unless it's been used and abused. On E-bay they generally go for in between $600-700+. If you tried and looked I know you can pick one up for around $900. I did and it's been the best investment I've made Car Audio wise. What I can say is I've owned 2 kicker amp KX800.2 and the older ZR360 both of them ended up blowing. Just do some more research the Sundown 3000 will explain itself. You can't go wrong with it or the warranty you'll get with it. Not that you'll need to use it or anything, I'm serious these amps aren't punks. If you upgrade your electrical system the correct way you can run these at .5 ohm ALL DAY long w/ almost 4500 watts.
