Alright, got a lot more out, once I get everything I need out I can start cutting the metal that is in the way. Then on to sealing the trunk off from the cabin, in prep for the box/baffle. -
Meh, my roommate is a dumb ass. He doesn't believe that Sean did 143 on a TL, legal. He keeps comparing my design to someone who has a bunch of 8's in a "IB" setup in a truck that did only 132 DB or something along those lines. He doesn't know the number of drivers, amps, wattage, anything. Ya think you could do any vids jacob or is that possible at the moment?

I know that was AA's old site. But the host of "internet archive" didn't save the page w/ recommended enclosure sizes. At least you have the specs to work off of now.

This is the best I could do: Low qts specs: http://web.archive.org/web/20050414112253/...s+T-S+specs.htm Mid qts specs: http://web.archive.org/web/20050414113145/...s+T-S+specs.htm High qts specs: http://web.archive.org/web/20050414111721/...s+T-S+specs.htm

I suck at google sketchup. Heres my quick pathetic attempt: -
will I be getting 16 separate boxes for these? lol...
-
I'm also considering an IB setup, using the trunk as a box, and stuff it with polyfill. 1 amp at 1 ohm, should put about 187.5 watts each.
-
I think I might want to get sixteen. Not sure if I can port if I do that, probably have to go sealed. Or should I just do 8, with a large port? This a trunk car, and if I tried to port with 16 drivers, the port couldn't really fit in the cabin. 16 sealed >= 8 w/ large port? I dunno, I'm hung up on it, I was also considering 2 15's btl's. I have 1 3000D atm, with a 200 amp alt, and 3 group 31d's, with a 1600 kinetik under the hood. Going for loudness at low frequencies. Considering another 3000D I just wanna make sure, that these coils are single, 4 ohm coils? I dont want to kill the amp, but I was doing some numbers with what the ohm load the amp will see. if I get 16 speakers, I can wire them to 1 ohm, or .25 ohms., or 4 ohms......so two sets of 8, I can get .5 ohms each, or 2 ohms each......... basically I'm looking at 8000 watts/'500 each 1 ohm strapped, 3200/ 200 each @ 4 ohm strapped....or kill 1 amp @ .25 ohms and get maybe 5000? with 312.5 per speaker. with 8 speakers, I can do 4000 w/ 250 per speaker 1 amp. @ .5 ohms....2 amps, 6000 watts @ 2 ohms strapped. with 375 per speaker However I doubt I will get that amount of wattage, but you never know...what should I do, and how much per speaker, @16?...55 each? also, should I be trying to use that at 4 ohm nom, or should I use the RE.

dammit I dont wanna wait. oh well, I guess I dont have the money atm anyway.

I was going to say they look like something that came out of ascendant audio, but everyone already beat me. Very similar to the old xbl^2 motors.

18" Sub gasket (rubber ring on basket)

Thanks scott! -
I have an avalanche that will be shipped to you soon for a recone, but it's for the guy that bought it from me. He's paying for the recone and the billing information that will be supplied will be his... I was wondering if I can get a new gasket, because the one I have has a cut about .75" long on top of it, and I'd like it to look good and I forgot that I had switched it between a different driver and I didn't state it in my F/S thread. I couldn't find these gaskets for an 18" online, I saw some for 15" and under but were wayy to expensive, 15+ 45 shipping, which is retarded. I'll write on the paper/information that it needs a recone and a new gasket, unless I can get an anwser before ~5pm eastern tomarrow. Thanks for the help, Mike

I bought some fatmat from thier ebay account a while back...maybe they went outta business
-
that alpine amp is awesome, just make sure you turn on the subsonic filter before playing any bass tracks
-
I sent you an email, however I forgot to give you my zipcode, which is 33912. Whatever the price is I'll pay it through paypal, which I included in the email, please set me up to get it fixed! Thanks!
-
lol...that is just funny.

I also need my avalanche fixed, the coils are ok, but the pole has seperated from the cone after it bottomed out. Whether it can be repaired or reconed, I have an 18" avalanche and I need to get it fixed, thanks. You can email me at totalnewbie007-at-gmail.com
