When I get another 3000D, and my component stage done, and most of the beauty work done I'll probably start going to florida shows around here, and maybe make a trip up towards South Carolina. However it will be some time before I get around to that. -

The spiders became unglued on 12 of 16 woofers, pulled them all out and fixed them, then sealed it so that wouldn't happen so easily next time. I've also wanted to put more power to them >, so sealing it should help. -

Sealed. -
you could switch the RCA's and the channels and see if it happens on the other side lol. albeit it would be much better to use a clamp/oscilloscope/voltage meter if you had them available.
-
Awesome, I was thinking about putting 1 or 2 in my work truck. Glad to see that they're around.
-
I still have mine, and alls good at the moment. Thinking about getting another amp. Curious about them because I didn't see them on your new site. (since the last time I've seen it)

The glue on multiple speakers has come off... The glue that holds the spider to the basket. I have my subsonic filter set to around 30hz, and the speakers were getting around 180 watts RMS max
-
How should I prep the surface, and will that epoxy be strong enough, or should I get something better. I guess I will try sealing the enclosure while I have all the speakers out...again.
-
To be honest, the frame needs foam around it to absorb impact. The cardboard is too strong and the frame bends a little too easy. Other than that, Most of the speakers I got were perfectly fine, 1 was slightly bent, but that was an easy fix.

... no.

Daily Driver...16 sundown 8's Bandpass IB Clamshell, in a stratus.

Title says it all right? I've pre-ordered the subwoofers, I will get them near the end of may/ early june. This is the stratus: I will be tearing out the old baffle, and the front. Making some kind of base, battery rack, and amp rack in the trunk. Clamshell will go behind the seats, then I will seal the trunk off, stuff it with polyfill. I bought E8's (sundown) The final specs will look like this: Re = 3.37 ohms (4 ohm nominal) Fs = 34.9 hz Qes = 0.5323 Qms = 6.93 Qts = 0.4943 Vas = 7.6 L BL = 13.3 N/A Mms = 127.7 grams Cms = 162 um/N Xmax = 12mm one-way linear (70% BL method) Rated RMS Power = 200 watts Depth = 4.25" OD w/ gasket = 8 5/16" Cut Out = 7" Sealed Box: 0.280 ft^3 w/ F3 of 50 Hz (Qtc = 0.707) Ported Box: 0.60 ft^3 tuned to 30 Hz F3 of 25 Hz They should be black instead of chrome. This will be fun! :veryhapp: these will be powered by 1 or two sundown 3000d's -
