    help with box tuning

ok thanks but ull have to explain the "1/2 to 1/3 octave below tuning frequency" in laymans terms. i have a very limited understanding about tuning
  2. i downloaded those ones off the site, how could i adjust the size if needed to? i have no idea how tuning works or any of that so any help is greatly appreciated. sugested width is 35" for small or optimal, id like to get it down to 34 or 33.5 if possible.
  3. im upgrading my sub to an xcon probably 12..maybe 15 (id like to get atleast some hair movement for an extra $10 why not) gunna be running it of a rockford fostgate 1500w amp: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_26139_Rockford-Fosgate-T1500-1bdCP-2010-Model.html a few people said that their birth sheet said 1900W battery to amp is 4G wire im driving a 98 honda crv so its a small suv question is... for running that amount of power do i: need to do the big 3? need to upgrade the stock battery (51R there pritty small) OR add another one? What would be the ideal set up to make sure everything is working full potential? and do i NEED to do it? Reason im asking is im probably not gunna be running at full power all the time and id rather save me the time and money if i could. Help much appreciated.

    will my amp be underpowered?

whats considered a basic system? under 2000W? XS rates the batteries for what power you plan to run for if its a primary battery (underhood) or if its a secondary battery (in rear). It says 2000-3000 watts. I would say that battery alone in the front should be fine for "up to" 2000 watts of stereo on stock electrical with the big 3 done. Any more and add another battery to the rear and look into a aftermarket alt. Add a volt meter to monitor it to be safe. I would say most "basic" systems out there are under 2000 watts one more thing: senario A: 2000W sub amp Senario B: 1500W sub amp + 500W 4 way (=2000W) would there be any difference in how much power is needed to run either senario?
  5. didnt know that. so then what would adding a second sub do? move more air and therefor make everything shake more?

  7. if down the road i wanna upgrade to 2 xcon 12's aside from geting another amp id have to upgrade the alternator and ad a second battery right?
  8. i got cheap 4 guage wire goin to the amp, is that gunna make a big difference?
  9. and if i start cranking it more and more then next step is the battery?
  10. if i were to do the big 3 and upgrade the battery to an xs and run 0G to the amp how many watts system could i run without upgrading anything else?
  11. just wondering what you guys would have done differently to your in car audio system givin the chance to go back and do it all over again. i usualy learn on my own mistakes but id rather save me a lot of time and money on my system. all comments appreciated!

What would you have done differently?

Thanks! No problem! I'm not suggesting that you buy a sub based on a video, but I posted a few here that you can check out. http://www.soundsolu...con-on-600-rms/ Not bad for 600 watts. ive watched many videos on the subs i have in mind and your videos came up a couple times. hows the sq even sub 600w? does it get real low?
