Does anyone know the mounting depth on the IXL10?
-
Those AQ amps look sick as hell. GL with the install.
-
Ill be hearing a 10" icon sealed this weekend. The 12 that i heard had kick ass SQ, got low an still remianed nice an tight. It also took All of my sundown 1500 pretty well. The 10 should be able to handle that amp. If ya notice it cant, jus turn down the gain some an youll be good.

Look at those PPIs, theres a chit load of em.lol. Thats an PPI enthusiast(sp?) no dount. Ive always liked those models
-
Yea its loyd's version. Cant remember where i got it but it slams pretty good.
-
Get those vids up ya slacker.lol. The blue came out kick ass an with the sub in, it makes it even better. I must say that mark an aaron have really put together a great sub here. I was shocked as hell by the output an the authority down low this driver had. Makes it hard to think that it was only a single 12. So big ups to those 2, had fun listening to it for the short time i did.

Ill be making a ported box for this sub, 2.1@32hz iirc. Ray came up with a good design.

Had a birthday last week an with that money i ordered an DC Sounds 18" LVL 4 with a LVL5 coil. Sub will be pushed by a Sundown 1500. Box is 6.5 cubes@32hz with 91sq.in of port area. Another great design by 90accordman. Sub should be here sometime this week. This is my first 18 so im anxious to get it an see what its like. Now onto the pics:

x2 getting a single amp to power the sub is much easier. I would think the 1000d would push the SX perfect. I installed one with bout a 1000 watts an it slams like no other.

Sweet looking car, I like how it doesnt have any rear windows. 8 12" lvl4s is gonna be crazy in that car. Is theis a bassracer or jus a vehicle to rep DC in the UK? End results should be kick ass, keep us posted.

Waited all day for it an it finally came round 5. I was warapping the box out front an saw the brown turd drive up. So i go an take it staright from the truck. The dumb broad rolls the box on its side out to me instead of picking it up an handing it to me:mad:. But i opened it up an all was in perfect condition. First thought was "Damn this is clean looking." The black 6 post basket an shinny bottom plate give it a good ppearance. Enough yik yak an to the pics. . .

oh sweet. Nice score. -
Actually I think the pink looks great, but not for me. Vids will be up tomorrow of the SX. Hope their good, she ended up taking em. an it was her first time.

For my chics B-Day shes gettin a whole new system. She knows nothing bout it so it'll be a good surprise:D. Anway, she wants some bump an wants it to get semi loud. Figured a 12" SX will be plenty, Powered by a USAmps XT4000D. So the sub should see bout 1000 watts or so. Box is 2cubes @34hz an will be resined(sp?) on the inside. Gonna replace the cheapy pioneer coaxils up front with RE6.5 comps powered a USAmps XT800.2. Each door will have 2 layers of Raamat BXT + Ensolite. All KNU wiring an RCAs. Got somewhat far on the box today. Letting the resin dry over night an will finish it up tomorrow.

-
yea the miles stack up on the cars. Bout 380 1 one way, a six hr drive is nothing now.lol.
-
Thanks for the complimeants guys. An I live in Fresno but still have family in SD so Im down there atleast 2 weekends a month
-
Yea most of the people that shes shown it off to love the pink. Its either the pink or the fleckstone that people like.
-
Thanks for the sub.lol. When should i suspect a tracking number? Im hoping i get it on or before thursday. Going to Mammoth for the weekend an would love to have the sub for 3hr drive.
-
Vids will be up as soon as i get it, along with pics. If panles do flex ill add something, but double baffle should support the weight of the sub fine. Also this is a test box, so i might change some things if i decide to make another.

So far its holding up great. Hasnt flaked at all nor rubbed off. I didnt have time to clear coat it an its looking like i dont even need to. I did 2 heavy coats.
-
Yup. Ive even used velcro on big boxes, works well.
