This is the setup i would be using if I were to get three 8" subs. The oval is my spare wheel well: What do you guys think?

Hey guys, I have a dilemna. I have the room to fit any size sub, but i don't really know the pro and cons of each size. The amp is either going to be 1500d or a alpine 1000 watt. The 8 inch subs will either be rl-i 8's or RE 8's. The enclosure is going to be an infinite baffle downfiring kinda like this: *pic of shimajer on e46fanatics (hope he doesn't mind) Thanks.

Is there a pro's and cons of either setup? For example 8's vs. one 12 vs. one 15? Thanks

My goal for designing the box primarily is to bring out the full potential of the sub, but in doing so i also want it to have a show car quality look. I made a thread earlier about an actualy IB (sorry that i mistook the picture i mentioned earlier to be similar), but i soon realized i don't have the trunk room to properly enclose the subs. The above picture is one of the alternatives i was able to find. The output goal is just to simply LSQ. I don't want to be much distortion at any of the frequencies at cost of spl. My belief is that all of the subs that i'm looking should be load enough for me. I apologize for not having a more specific goal, but i don't really know whats out there as this is my first sound system. My budget is around 500 for the sub(s). Thanks.

Hey guys, I think i'm going to be purchasing a Q12. I have reservations that I have the space for an adequete box though. I have a 2002 BMW 325i. Here are a few pics of the way my backseat/trunk is (borrowed from a bimmer forum): and i was hoping to have it look something like this when it was complete: As you can see the setup is geared towards a show car, but I do actually drive the car around quite a bit, so sound quality is a concern of mine. How practical would something like that setup be for sound quality? SPL doens't matter as much for me. Thanks

Very practical. The first few pictures look like it's infinite baffle, which would work as long as the entire trunk is sealed off well from the cabin. The third picture looks like the woofer is enclosed in a smaller box, which would work too. Yeah, the first setup uses the whole trunk as a box, as the last picture is sealed off i believe. I think the last picture is what i would want though. Will it still sound great like that or will there not be enough space? Thanks
