ok guys one my home from work my friends subs im using Kenwoods 12" 400 rms each stop working as soon as i get ready to pull in. i look under my hood and my power wire fuse holder looks like it blew up.... kinda in half.... ( I was only using these subs for a week until i get my FI SSD 15 today or tomorrow.) Any ideas why this happened? i had a spare KIcker 4 awg wire so i wasnt to mad lol.

The 15 is ran off the amp? the hell you cant power a subwoofer with the headunit so calm down. no need to get like that -

ohh no i was talking about my second question thats what i was refering to. When that one blew I decided to Fix everything myself and put it in I havent had a problem With my 4 awg power wire since. -

figured out im over working my alternator causing me not to get enough power to all of my speakers and radio -

I will look into it. I noticed the difference on how loud this thing was from my last subs i had. Its just that some of the songs that play have so much bass my trunk is louder then the bass itself and its like my music plays with the rattle. Then on other songs it hits and i can hear the bass and feel the air hit me and my front windshield even moves some.

My trunk rattles so freakin hard and my backwindshield moves. And some of my songs that play i can hear the trunk rattleing over the bass but others i cant am i losing bass from the trunk??

I have never done an install in a Countour. If memory serves me correctly, they have a decently large rear deck shelf. Do you have the ability to fold the rear seats down? my seats dont go down but i made them go down lol so yes.

First, your system needs entirely redesigned. That's not a good system layout at all. Second, how do you have them wired? I would agree with jay-cee that it's likely you are simply overdriving the internal amplifier in the headunit. Even then I wouldn't recommend an amp, first I would recommend you eliminate 60% of your speakers. and what do you think would be good for my system?
