If this is just for daily, do 1.5 cubes after displacment with one 4" aero that is 16" long. Do sub up or back and port to the side.

18" FI Q. not QUITE loud enough... time for a change maybe....
thefordmccord replied to snb778's topic in General Audio
yeah, add a 4th port and have all 4 ports 14" long. That should put your tuning at about 33 hz and you will be happy. -
Great number!! The AS scores are pretty crazy this year.

SUNDOWN WINS AGAIN, Columbia, KY
thefordmccord replied to SUNDOWN/FI BEATIN's topic in Sundown Audio
Yep, Derek is the guy with the black Volvo. Corey's S1 score was a 143.3 and his drive-by 1 score was a 121.8. We also have a Carlisle Acoustics member that doesn't have any Sundown equipment yet: Josh Newton - 151.6 in Mod 5 I wasn't able to get the wagon to the show because the heater core bypass valve busted right before I left the house. I guess it was better that it broke at the house instead of 100 miles down the interstate. Seth was not able to take his car because he had a football game (he is still in high school). Here are some pictures if anyone is interested: http://www.carlisleacoustics.com/albums/th...ls.php?album=38 -
What is the box tuned to? If you are tuned in the 40s and playing stuff in the 30s, then the box can unload.

I have e-mailed you my info.

Coolness!!! I get to do some more recones next week!!
-
What is this cooling option that you speak of?? Is it something with the soft parts or is it extra machining on the motor?
-
Money sent for two XXXL shirts. edit: I am fat!!

So, Jacob, you planning to do a new SPL demo vehicle? -
Yep!! The box was tuned in the 44-46 range peaking at 48. It was about 2.8 cubes after displacment. There is no way I would run it daily like that, but it didn't mind playing music for 30 seconds durring my run.

My best last year was a 144.2 with one 15" Q and one Sundown 1500D. Tuned for daily it will still do a 143. At world finals I was able to do a 146.1 with the same sub and a Sundown 3000D. These scores are legal MECA scores at the headrest in my Scion TC. My team mate Corey did a 143.9 at world finals with one 12" Q and one 1500D out of the trunk of a Sentra. The Qs can get loud!!
