I have two 12" Kicker L7s on a PA 2400DB, which does about 1400W. My subs are dual 2 ohm and im looking for an amp that does at least 1600 clean watts. Or anything yall would recommend to make these things beat. Don't get me wrong though these things do hit hard. I have a sealed box now, but i may want to go to a ported box. What do yall think the cubic ft. and tuning should be for 2 12" L7s. (I listen mostly to rap) Thanks in advance.

This link should give the RMS and recommended box sizes. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=16278

Completly missed that, now i feel like an idiot.

You have a btl in a sealed box? How does it sound?

Can someone recommend me a good pioneer headunit? I'm trying to keep it on the cheap side, around 100-130 bucks. It will be used in a '95 suburban and i was also going to be running 2 12" L7s (not sure if that matters). I just want it to sound good and go well with my subs.

If i dont get a new one and just keep the stock one, will it sound pretty bad? -
I was wondering if the BTL or BL could be run in a sealed box. The Fi site doesnt have any dimensions for sealed boxes. If they cant be used in a sealed box, why? Is it because they just wouldnt sound good? Just wondering. Thanks guys

Thank you, that was what I was asking,

I found two Power Acoustik SL-3400D amps for $350 each. Each one puts out 2600watts x1 at 1 ohm. Would one of these on each of the BTLs be good start on powering it or would it be underpowering it? The BTLs have the Cooling, Third Magnet, and the HiXm coil. This will be a daily setup as well.

Alright i think i might go with those and then upgrade once i get more money. Where did you get yours?

Can someone tell me what the specs of a fully loaded 15" BTL are. i.e., mounting depth and anything else that is different than what is listed on the site. Thanks -
I think i want to go with the Goliath, it looks like a good amp. Do you have info on where i can contact him about buying this amp.
-
His setup is what made me want to try out Fi Audio. I've been looking at the BTLs and you guys at Fi should be getting an order from me as soon as i get the money. Great setup tejcurrent and congrats.

I will definately upgrade my altenator and batteries. I was also going to do the big 3 upgrade as well with plenty of 1/0 gauge wire.

Thanks for all the help and sorry for the noobness. This is gonna be my first system and i want to do it right the first time. I think im going to go with 2 15" BTLs instead. Do you think they would still be able to handle the Orion amps that djjdnap recommended daily? 2500watts RMS x1 at 1 ohm (On each BTL) EDIT: I have a friend who can build a box for them. I was thinking either 9-10 cuft but what should i tune it to for daily listening? All music, no competitions.

Also, if i was going to run one mono amp on each BTL i would need dual 2 ohms right? I know this is a little off subject but, providing the right enclosures and setups for each, would a 15" BTL beat out a 18" BL?
-
I want to try to stay under $2200 (flexible) for both BTLs and either an amp for each sub or a big amp for both. I havent ordered anything yet, Im just kind of searching around and trying to get everything together so I can get it all at once. Im not in a big hurry to buy everything right now because i still have to get the money.
-
Man i wish i had the money right now, id be all over those two amps. Thanks a lot for the links.

So what would yall recommend for 2 good amps that put out over 2000 w, but i dont want to spend too much. I know "you get what you pay for" but im looking for some good amps that just arent too expensive. I might be going with 2 15" BTLs instead of 2 18". (i dont think i could handle the power of 2 18" haha)
