Yeah with those new amps you can feel the pressure on your chest outside the car. Its insane inside there now. My buddy Ryan thought he was going to puke after sitting in it. He actually went to the bathroom because he thought he had to blow chunks! Now thats bass!

I cant believe noone commented these videos. You guys must not like 155+dB ground pounders around here.

Ive metered my car in 105 degree weather, and in 65 degree weather. Same setup, same mic position, same exact Termlab, same note, etc. I was over 2dbs louder in the 65 degree weather compared to 100+. I just figured colder air was denser, and therefore when compressed it puts more pressure on the mic. There are some shows down here that it gets so hot and it kills peoples numbers. There was a show in a blacktop parking lot and just out in the parking lot it was 120+. People were losing a good 4dbs consitently throughout the day.

Whats better then having a 150db+ daily driver?
galacticmonkey replied to 97cavy's topic in General Fi
Dont listem to em man, bang as loud as you can, and do it with pride! -
I say its going to be a badass system And so what if he wants to build it where he can just take it out when hes done with it? I got a 2006 Expedition with 4 BTL 18s in a ported clamshell wall at the B pillar, and 10 Kinetik HC2400s. Daily driver. I took it out and guess what, the car is back to completely stock. No one will ever know it was in there. Its definately possible, you just gotta think a step ahead and when you build, get it as strong as you think it needs to be, then make it twice as strong.

I really like these... Never thought about them on an Astro, but I think they look sick. Id get the cargo van with no windows, and It would definately get painted a different color. Id lower it a little to get rod of the wheel gap, and I think these would look badass on it. What do you think? Or got any other rims that would look good on Astros for pretty cheap? http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resul...03&autoModClar= Go to the top left wheel, the American Racing Vintage Torq-Thrust. Click the 20" button and click View on Vehicle. What do you think?

About a 53.5 Bassrace on a good day, and about to be louder. -

There arent any build pics... The van was built quite a while back. And it really has nothing to do with Car Tunes.... -
Thats some chit right there. That van definately gets down in a hurry.

If you're going for something that will be loud and sound good, get some B&C 6.5s and some Selenium tweeters. I know someone with this exact setup and they sound amazing. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tnumber=294-650 http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...4-355&DID=7 Anyways, the truck looks flat out rediculous. I gotta hear it someday.

Only people from NPR with Fi that I know of are me and Jracer. I got 4 BTL 18s, and he has 16 12" SSDs. I run Sundown amps, and he has 8 Kicker KX1200.1s.... Other than that, I really dont know... -

Not exactly, New Port Richey, but was this the build? He was planning on RF though. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=219541 Im lost as to what build you're talkin about. Only other one I could imagine is the green Astro with 12 SSD 15s, but theres no build pics and hes like 35 mins from New Port Richey. -

That van? If so, thats Johnny. He doesnt work for any car audio shop. The guy who owns Car Tunes off 54 is Mark and he has a white Isuzu pickup with a single 15" Lightning Audio doin a 150+. But, no, Johnny isnt from Car Tune. -
I'm not sure now. I need either 4k rms @ 2 or .5 ohms...any suggestions? They are getting 2.1 cubes each, 8.4 total after displacement. It is exactly double what I had the pair in when they were sealed. 2 Sundown SAZ-1500Ds Strapped @ 2 ohms would work great on the Qs.

I say 24s on the Charger ftw.
-
Do a fiberglass enclosure in the trunk with 6 SSD 10s.

Nowhere near the best, but I did a 141 on music legal on TL in my expedition with about 400rms of Boss power on 2 Xplod 12s. Was a bo I designed for my friends civic and let him build it (he did a horrible job) then when I took my 6 15s out it was sitting in my garage so I hooked it up using wire I found in my closet. Total cost $0.00. Now thats some budget bass.

(4) Q18's Walled **opinions needed**
galacticmonkey replied to damonhargroves07's topic in Fi Technical
I for 4 BTL 18s in a wall in my Expedition, but Its a pacman style box. Subs on top and bottom, with port in the center. Just be careful if you do decide to do a pacman box. Mounting heavy subs upside down sucks! -
need some creative ideas here for my room
galacticmonkey replied to pimpedout97x's topic in Home Audio
Just build a huge CRX style box with a 1" thick clear plexi like 5" over the woofers. That way you can see the woofers movin while using the desk. Put a huge port in the center, and you can use that as the hole to put your legs in. Fart box in your room FTW. Can anyone say 140db sealed up in the living room? Hahaha You could try that, or do something that would actually work. -
Looks awesome man. It was loud as hell at SBN! Heres the videos I took.

Hey Shawn, whenever I have some spare time, I might drive up to Gville for the day. You can help me find out why the BTLs have a little bit of a hard time with the power. And maybe I can use the TL too?
