    To whom it may concern

Why you gonna call me out like that!! Well any who, Jake and I talked about that and he is okay and well aware of the sitiation (thats how I meant it), sitiation!!!! But inorder to be street b compliant I only can use two amps. And to use the 7kd on the sundown nightshades and they take it.......well, the score speaks for itself!!!!! You got a problem with that.........Bigjon!!!!! Yes sir, CRX!!!!!

Unprofessional of me, because I know better........one was stock and one was custom. One was broken in and the other was straight out the box. So the score should have been up to 0.3 louder. But I have to say that they may need bigger boxes for a street car. I did a 144 in my trunk car (97 accord), one 12, and the box was 3.8cf before displacement of sub and port, tuned to 37 hz. So my next experiment will be a bigger box. With some tweeking, from Jacob, they can and will be a sub to reckon with. But they are so fn heavy. LOUD...but heavy!!!

    SAZ3000D test

The-Scraper and I have been testing our azzes off this week. We got our hands on a Sundown SAZ3000D and tested it on the same setup as the Stetsom and Cyclops. This was not a power test or comparative test, but just to see how well it would do for a 3000watt amp. 3 x battcap 8400, 4 x dd9910's, 1 x sundown SAZ3000D @0.25ohm Results: db = 154.7; voltage drop 11.8. 1 x battcap 8400, 4 x dd9910's, 1 x sundown SAZ 3000D 0.25ohm results: db = 154.1; voltage drop 10.8 As far as 3000 watt amps goes I think it did very well. We did not do a power output. Will do that later on the NSB-g3100! We predict that it will do about the same on the NSB-g3100 as it did on a single batcap 8400. Critisms and comments of course are always wellcomed!!! Why are we testing amps!?!?!? There are no shows around our way and just having FUN!!!!!!!!

    SAZ3000D test

I did a power test not an spl test, because I did not have subs at that time. But now I only have on SAZ3000D. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=12103 I compete with stetsom, but I am a true believer of sundown products. But I always test his products. Because he knows I am going to beat the chit out of them!!!! And I am going to be fair!!

    a question about power output

No you did not do any thing wrong. Now someone chime in if I am wrong. According to your numbers you have (252am*14.5v)=3652 watts going into your amp. Your amp is now producing 3294 watts of AC out put. So that part is okay. Now the amps run on the batteries not the alternator. The alternator is like a generator to charge the batteries when a heavy power load is put on them. So Bigjon is right that the batteries is what you should consider. Now you need that much power in your alternator to charge your car systems, like your lights, engine so on and so on. With my crx, my car power requirements are not that demanding, so a 120 amp alternator may work as well as a 200amp alternator in jeep cherokee or a bigger vehicle. For example, my friend had a stock alternator and one NSBg3100 on a 7k system. His alternator died first because it was trying to charge the car systems while maintaining the battery that charge the car radio system. The alternator died 6 months after the installation of his system. Boy, I am still trying to get my head around him not upgrading when I told him!! But, he still my boy!!!!

As a definite street competitor, and some one who do not use sundown in competition, but would love to, but sells his amps, and own two SAZ3000D's for my street beat car, I think a 5k would do the trick. I would definitely be in on it. I also think my boy who has the F150 or as he likes to call it, the Fi150, would be interested. And I usually dont call people out on these forum but, some of you cheap mofos are on other forums want to ONLY pay 200 for a 3000 watt amp. So, for those mofos, and you know who you are, this topic is not for you. I've met Jake and he saw what me and my crew is capable of doing. So he knows I am not bullchitting. I've introduced alot of people to sundown, Such as Big Jon, Whats up buddy!!!!?? I have put alot of testing info on this forum, given info on this forum, gave recommendations on this forum. I only come on this forum when it is truly necessary and I dont waste anyones time. So I am sure Jake understand that I am writing this for his best interest. If you are not serious get the f@ck of the topic. Such as Mjf. If you are the same some one that did not want to pay 300 for a 3000 watt amp on caraudio forum, !!!! If you arent then.....my bad!! My teammate and I finally met Jake face to face in FLorida. Jake has a very good personality and he has the best customer service I have ever known. I love your amps, but you know I need a larger amp for street b. But one or two people I recognize from other forums are wasting your time! I just named one definitely. Now Mjf call the MODERATOR Jntar about this b@tch!!! And if this is the person this will prove how cheap he is, look for this thread on caraudio forum. (2k-3k+@1or2 have $275).

    Check these #s out.

I believe it may be right!! Lets think about this. The amp is putting out more amps than volts. That means the amp is seeing very little resistance. His box rise is below one. IN THEORY, the amp should put out that much power. Why??...remember his battery voltage fell to rated power. With a rated voltage of 12.8v and a constant 0.65 impedance, the amp, IN THEORY, should put out ~40% more power. And thats what the amp did. As someone else stated, a strapped pair of saz1500 gave over 5000 watts below 1 ohm. Remember this is spl burping not continuous music play. Also remember, with that much amperage going to the subs, soon the coils will be history!! So watch out!!!! Now is it good for the amp?? I'm not sure. But I am sure it is not good for the subs.

    Sundown Audio

But I have to tell you this....There is a company in canada, no names, that use to crap all over Jacobs amps. But everytime....everytime.....he gets on any forum, this forum, caraudio forum, even termpro, everyone gangs up on him and tell him to stfu!!! Because ever one knew he was lying. Just go to show you, cant go wrong with Sundown.

    Sundown Audio

When I first saw a 1500d, I said man that is a generic looking amp. At the time I was a JL fan for street beat. Well, I started listening to it and was like....DAMN!!! Been hooked ever since. The customer service is second to none. Jake treats every customer great. How big how small, it is always great customer service. The bad thing about sundown audio is that....I....CANT....KEEP....A....DARN....AMP....IN....MY....CAR!!!! Every where I go, people want to buy my amps right then and there!!! And that is no exaggeration and no lie!!!

    A++

Your absolutely right!!! His costumer service is second to none. He will return phone calls. Even if he is busy, he will let you know and ask can he call you back. AND GET THIS.....He actually calls you back!!!!!!! Damn you don't get that everyday. I ordered recones from someone about a month ago, still did not get them. And when I call, it is always an excuse why they were not mailed to me. But this never happens with Jake. Man Jake, keep up the good work!!!!!

    3000d questions

They are rated for 6 volts input. One of the other features of the Maxx-Link is that it straps the amps differently so the slave amp is less likely to go into protection under a full out SPL burp. I use dual ones, and strap a pair of tens to one ohm so each amp sees 0.5 ohms. You may be able to strapp lower than 0.5ohms if you are burping with a power above 12 volts or if the car is running. But that question is more suited for Jacob. Secondly what the maxx-link does is reverse phase the slave amp so it runns as a master amp. So you strapp the amps as you normally do with out using the link cable. This enables the amps to run at a stronger signal. And also the maxxlink is some what of a pre-amp. It allows you to raise the input RCA voltage. Example. head unit gives off 2volt you can adjust the maxxlink so the amps can receive 5 or 6 volts. Ray

    3000d questions

Hell ya, I consistantly got 7400+ watts, with the maxx-link. Without the maxx-link it was above 6000 watts per strapped pair. So the maxx link gives a stronger signal to the amps. Now I must remind you, this is with a street A setup and a strong battery with the car completely shut off. Ray

But I have another question, this could also be a topic starter. Why when car audio manufacturers, such as Sundown (hint hint), when the first develop a sub, they develop it for wall applications. Do you know that for dbdrag and other sound competition leagues, street applications or other classes that resemble street, make up almost 50% of the entries. Even with these numbers, when it come to subs, street competitors are overlooked. I wonder why!! I would like somebody to come out with solid 10's or 12's for street, except for dd. Ray
