I built my IB in a line array also. Of course it was back when you could get AA Avalanche 18's. I only used 4. Your gonna love the efortless bass. You'll get usable output into the single digits. My living room has 3 large openings so the room won't pressurize, but I can still get 110 dB @ 10Hz fourteen feet from the mouth of the array.

My bad. Feel free to delete if necessary. Sorry.

X2 I had a buddy get knocked out by his dual 12" box in his little mazda hatchback, he's got a nice little scar to go with it.. He never really thought about the chance of getting hit by it in a wreck (he hit a guardrail head on at a T intersection) I'd Find some way to bolt it down. granted the seats should slow it down or possibly stop it in a wreck... but you can't ever be too safe It'll get bolted down. We may pull it back out when we pull the rear headliner to reattatch the roof pan to the bracing. After we put it in, it'll get secured. If he was in an accident bad enough to rip up the rear seats, I'm not sure there'd be much left of the front end (or him) at that point. I don't even like thinking about that.

I just submitted 2. -
Gravity at this point. In a wreck, it'll never get past the seats. I haven't figured out a way to strap it down that would look decent as well as actually hold it in place. Maybe large L-brackets?

Here's the rear speakers and seat as requested. Vids still to come.
-
The second seat won't go back in untill I finish the box that fits between the seats for the rear speakers.
-
We'll try to get some up. My son brought it to a local audio store this weekend. He played it for them while one of the workers put his cell phone on the roof. It was getting major air.

We did the big 3 on the charging system. The alternator has been changed to a 200 amp. We also put an Optima red top back by the amp. As far as sound deadning goes, we took every interoir panel out. All the body panels, floor and door interiors got a HEAVY coat of undercoat when we did the previous install. The only panel that didn't get deadned was the roof. I'm sure we'll give it some attention once the headliner is out for the roof to be reattatched to the bracing. I've also got a couple more JBL's to install between the second row of seats.

Well, we finally got it up and breathing this weekend. A few observations: 1) It really wangs. 2) The Ficars seem to laugh at the amperage I'm giving them. The SSD's are rated at 750 RMS which is what they're getting, but they seem to want more. The electrical in the van is holding out well and not even bouncing the volt gauge on the dash. 3) It really wangs. 4) We're going to have to fix the roof. Apparantly the skin has come loose from the bracing and it's flopping like a kleenex in a windstorm. We're going to have the roof painted in a month or so and I guess I'll pull the headliner (groan) and have the brace reattatched to the roof. 5) Even though the drivers aren't broken in yet, it really wangs. 6) A couple more pics.
