Thanks alot. I ordered everything last night. When do you think my sub will come in?
-
When somebody has the time, could they give me the same information that is wanted for the 10Q, but for a stock 12" bl.
-
Could somebody tell me what the diameter of the magnet is on the 12" BTL. And, what is the mounting depth of the same sub is. And one more thing, if I build a box that is 5" at the top, 11" at the bottom, 20" tall, and 40" wide, will that be enough room to fit a 12" BTL with just cooling(will it be deep enough)?
-
My main question is is the box deep enough?
-
Thanks for the responce. I would probably be getting a dual 1ohm vc, since, correct me if im wrong, can hook them together to make it 2 ohms?

Hello. I was looking for a 12" sub that has good SQ, and quite a bit SPL. It will be going in a regular cab truck, with a box that will have between 1.1 and 1.6 cubes. The amp (still unsure) will probably put out 1000 rms, or more. I was not planning on doing any kind of electrical mod (extra battery, etc...)( maybe the Big 3?). I was thinking either the Q or the BL. Could someone tell me there opinion on wut they think would be good for me?

Hello? I kind of need an answer pretty fast!

What are the dimensions on that dodge reg cab box? And, what Hr is it tuned to?
-
Anyone? Would this be a good amp, or should I just go with the Hifonics 1600?
-
My friend with 4 12W7 in his bed pointing toward the cab running off 2 1000/1 hit 145.3 at 25Hr in a recent car show.

Since I'm on a tight budget, do you think that this amp would be good, and put out enough power(says around 1200 rms)? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-PHOENIX...1QQcmdZViewItem

He said the Q would be for me if my enclosure was sealed. However, I am planning on building a 2 cube ported box tuned to 32 hz. Would the Q still be the way to go, even though I'm going ported?

How would you compare an ICON to a BL in a 2 cube 32 hrz. box.

Does anyone know how an ICON would compare to a BL in a 2.5-3 cube box tuned to 32 hrz, with 1000 watts going to it? Also, since I am on a tight budget, would it be better for me to get a BL with a Hifonics 1600 watt amp, or the SSA package with an ICON and a Sundown 1000 watt amp?

Thanks! I am actually now looking into building a 3 cube ported box behind the seat (yes, there is room to go up to 4 cubes). I've got a friend that recently put 4 jl 12W7 in the bed of his truck pointing toward the cab(insanely loud) but he is now regreting getting them once I showed him the BTL's for a little more than half of what he paid for the w7's. Oh well, I guess you live and you learn. Oh, and how is the ICON compared to the Q or BL?
-
How is the SSA ICON compared to the Q? I can get the ICON for 249, while the Q is 259. Also, what is the mounting depth on the ICON?
-
I will have about 7 to 7.5 inches of mounting depth. Since it's going to be sealed, will the BL be an option. Will the BL give me more SPL. Also, the amp that I was looking at is the Kenwood KAC-9103D,which says to have 1200 rms at 1 ohm.

I was wondering if this amp would power 2 12 ssd good. I am on a really tight budget, and didn't know if this was a good amp or not? http://cgi.ebay.com/BOSS-CHAOS-CH3000D-300...0QQcmdZViewItem

I was actually looking at the Hifonics Brutus, but seen this one was cheaper, and since I'm on a tight budget, I just wondered if it was a good amp

Hello. I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab, and I want a "system". I have figured up that I have about 1.7-1.8 cubes of space behind the seat. I was originally wanting 2 12's, but I would still like to have the massive amount of storage space that Dodges have. So I was just wonding if I could fit an SSD 15 behind my passenger seat. The top of the box will be 6.5" deep, and the bottom will be 10.5" deep. The reason for going with a 15 instead of a 12, is just for the coolness factor of saying, "Yeah, I've got a 15". Thanks for any responces!!!

Well if you've never been in a regular cab Dodge, you really can't be saying much about how much room they have. There's a ton of room in front, and behind the seats. I can fit a 23" tall, 22" wide, and 6.5" at the top and 10.5" at the bottom box, with a little more added to the side, with 1-2" to the back of the seat, and the seat is all but one notch away from being all the way back. I will fit. The only question was if 1.7 cubes would sound good in a sealed box.
-
All I'm wanting to know is if it will still sound good with only 1.7 cubes?
