I was just wondering if anyone has used or seen this amp? I just came across it and seen its a fairly small amp and was wondering if it would be good for running my mids and highs. Here's a link http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_43536_Pioneer-PRS-D800.html Let me know what you guys think.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me or help point me in the right direction on calculating power for the system I plan on building this winter I was wondering what the math problems to figuring out your reserve(batteries), usage(amplifiers) and charging(alt.) would be? And was wondering if there are any websites or post I could check out to find this info?

I found a video on youtube that seemed pretty helpful if I can find it again I'll post it up here for you guys. It seems pretty legit but well see what you guys think. Didn't take too long!I found 2 that were pretty informational.

I'll have to double check but with no rear speakers it looked like I had 18" .I'll check later when it gets a little lighter out.

Would this be a good box for 2 xcon 12s running a crescendo bc 2000d I'm planning on running it at 2 ohms because I'm hoping to run stock alt with an extra batt. in the rear for now. I was hoping to run sub and port forward sealed from the trunk so my max height is 18 and width is 32 and that's real tight. If someone else has done this I would love to see pics for reference. http://i1257.photobucket.com/albums/ii511/trpkkd/accordbox.png

alright thanks for the info. I'll have to remeasure but I'm pretty sure I can fit 18in in there. It will have to sit back from the seats a little bit. And if I have to build it in the car that's fine.

I think I'm going to order the mezzos since I can't decide on anything else hopefully I won't be disappointed. If nothing else at least they look damn good!

I've been trying to pick out a good set of comps for a while now and was wondering if I could get any input? I picked up a honda accord and everything has been ripped out. I guess its a good starting point. I have been watching videos on how to build your own fiberglass door panels and kicks and figured I might give it a try. If I can get it to fit I was hoping to run 2 12's ported sealed from the trunk and was wondering what set of comps would keep up and be clean but not too harsh? And if running 2 sets would be better?

Yea I have been reading some other post but my problem is I live in northern MI and there are no car stereo shops around that I know of so I can't just go listen like most of the other post say. I guess I'm just going to have to wing it and hope for the best. Thanks for the info.

Well the car already has the factory mounting holes in the doors but I seen qlogic makes kick panels for it so I was thinking about buying those would they be better? If I'm only buying one set I could spend a little more on the speakers since I could save a little buying a two channel amp. So somewhere around $250. I was checking the crescendo mezzo comps what do you guys think about those?

I was fooling around with the torres box calc. and was wondering what port area range was and what volume is the one to use gross or net. and if there's a way to post pics of it to see what you guys think?

Alright thanks alot guys will be doing extensive reading on that website thanks.

I have a 03 ford explorer that I'm planning on doing a full build on soon hopefully over the winter. I have a seasonal job so I'm free all winter. I want to do this the right way so I figured I would start with sound deadening. I think I'm going to go with second skin damplifier but I'm unsure about how much I will need to order. I think I will do the roof and the doors rear hatch included. Does anyone know approximately how many sq. feet I would need?
-
I always thought it was a bad idea because if someone wants to steal your stuff all they have to do is grab the box and go. Unless you have a huge box or it is properly secured to the floor.
-
I'm still tossing ideas around and was wondering which would work best in the space I have. I have 44"w X 30"d X 18"h to work with could be a little taller but was hoping to keep it close to 18" or less. I was wondering if 2 gcon 15"s would have more output than 1 18" icon. I'm pretty sure I'm going to run a crescendo bc 2000d at 2 ohms. What do you guys think would have more output? It will be in a 03 ford explorer.

I've been looking around for a good 4 channel amplifier that cost some where around 350 or less that has a small foot print I was hoping to hide it. I have looked at the rockford fosgate pbr 300.4 was wondering if anyone had any experience with these? Or if anyone has had any other amps that are on the smaller side I would like to hear some other options as well. Also I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find some info on the little soundigital 250.2 I tried emailing them and messaging a soundigital rep on the smd website and got no replies. Was thinking of maybe getting 2 of those for running a set of comps. could definitely hide those somewhere.

Hi guys I have been looking at these little guys for awhile and have thought about running them in my 03 ford explorer behind the third row seats. At first I thought about running them off a sundown sax 1200d but now I have come across this website and discovered crescendo audio and seen the bc 2000d and love the way it looks and its a little cheaper. I was just wondering if these little beast would hold up or am I better off running the sax 1200d?
-
Thanks for the input I was kind of leaning toward the crescendo anyway that way I have room to expand later down the road if needed or wanted and I'm sure it will be wanted.
-
How much louder would the sax 1200d at 1ohm compared to the bc 2000d at 2ohms? Would there be a huge noticeable difference or would they sound pretty close?
-
I was thinking I could run the 2 8's behind the third row seat which only leaves me with 44"w x10"d x11"h could go a little taller if needed. Subs facing up port facing up.

Do you think it would make a big difference if I ran a set of coax in the rear or should I just leave the stock speakers back there off the headunit? -

I see your from MI where are you located? I live in Atlanta MI. Portage, MI. Yeah kind of figured. Just trying to find some other car audio fanatics around here. It's good thing for these forums or I'd go nuts up here.
