Wow, I feel dumb now, I have seen that post a few times before, sorry for annoying you Jake!

    Future Amplifiers

Nope. They are rated much more conservatively than CEA 2006 calls for, which is how I prefer to do ratings... not a fan of the 14.4 volt standard. what are you ratings at? i cant remember if its 12.6v or not SAX and SAZ are 12.8 volts SAE-1000D rated for 13.8 volts (as will the other SAE amps when they come), but still technically does 1000 @ 12.8 volts. Why the difference in where you rate the SAZ/SAX line and the SAE line? I'm just curious as it's no big deal, it is still better than the CEA 2006 ratings and they deliver more than stated power. It's an entry level line, hence the plan was for less conservative ratings - I've moved directions a bit with the SAE line since the original plan. The other SAE amps I'm working on now all easily do their power at 12.8 volts so I doubt there will be any need for the distinction at all and they'll all just be rated at 12.8 volts. Does my 1000D do rated power @ 12.8V? Just wondering, I have more than enough power for my use as it is, just a curiousity thing.

Thanks for the kick ass amps!

Well, like I have posted, I won the DB Drag Class B at Michigan Tech today with a 143.6 and also won the amateur Sound Qullity competition. Just wanted to say I love my Sundown amps, you definitely have a long term customer in me I also recommend your amps whenever possible and also sport the Sundown Audio sticker on my Jimmy. http://img532.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mvi2330nw6.flv http://img532.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mvi2331mu7.flv http://img532.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mvi2332wc2.flv http://img532.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mvi2334gd8.flv

    Finally got metered

I was at a car comp at Michigan Tech today, took 1st place in Street B with a 143.6 on the TL playing Outkast - Speakerboxx. I also took first in amateur SQ.

Thanks man, it was fun competing for the first time. My goal was a 135, possibly a 140, when I hit what I did I was extremely happy as I honestly did not think I was above a 140. This is my last competition with these subs though as I will be upgrading SQ wise to a single new Mag in 1 cubic foot sealed. I want my cargo area back, lol, and the setup I have now is just simply way overkill for what I want, I just am not an SPL guy, I am SQ however I will run it next year for the hell of it, but I expect ~ 130dB in Street A. I hear you there. I'm not an spl guy either and when oppurtunities became available for me to jump back on the SQ wagon i'm already there. Exactly, SPL is definitely fun, but when you have the subs turned way down for every day listening what is the point?

Nice. Yes, it is very safe up here, Houghton is rated as one of the safest college towns in the country. As for girls, it isn't good, I won't lie, lol.

Actually that is what that online ported box designer recommended for SQ, and believe me, it is SQ. It sounds great, it absolutely pounds the lows, the BMs are low end monsters for sure. Plus I didn't run any tones, used Outkast - Speakerboxx Intro for every run.

  16. They should sound better actually, a much more linear BL curve due to the XBL^2 tech in them. As for output, I have no clue, but my guess would be no. They will be loud I'm sure, but compared to a ported sub with more Xmax, they probably won't be as loud.

Talk about 5k amp List Here

No, I know it will take one hell of an electrical system to support, but I think Jake should spell it out definitively for people so he doesn't wind up with a lot of dead amps.

Talk about 5k amp List Here

Sounds like a great amp Jacob and I am glad to see Sundown breaking into new territory. The biggest thing I would recommend to you is to put what kind of supporting electrical you will need in this and the list thread as I am sure there will be some interest from people who may not know what they are doing.

On my SMD forum the 5k is way ahead. Ah, so it sounds like 5K is the winner, lol.

X12 New Design in the works

You have WAY too many things on the bck burner, lol. I want to see if I can list them all, SAX 250.2, SAZ-2000D, SAE-75.2, SAE-50.4, SAE-1500D, SAZ-5000 or 7000D, E series subs, the 12" shown with the original Nightshade proto. I think that is it, but I may have missed some, lol. If you do all of these Sundown will own the car audio world, lol.

X12 New Design in the works

Any new info on these subs? I won't be buying one, Stereo Integrity is where my alliance lies for subs, but I m curious as they sound solid and others would love them.
  23. bose301s

    ATTN: Jacob :D

Yea, I was definitely joking there, I know you could do it, but how many would realistically be sold, 1 or 2 a year? I mean, from what I herd Steve Meade was one of the few to ever buy the amps15,000 watt RF amps.
  24. bose301s

    ATTN: Jacob :D

I voted for the 7000D just because iy sounds cooler. I still think Jacob should do a 10,000D or a 15,000D or even a 20,000D

Would be cool to see, but I definitely don't need anymore than my 1000D
