I have 2 12" BMs now, it is WAY overkill in my Jimmy, I m going to 1 12" Mag which should be more than enough.
-
For SQ 2 new Mags seled in a 2 cu ft box @ 2 ohms will rock your socks. Would give each sub 400 or so watts which from what I have herd is enough for the new Mags.

As far as I can tell Paradigm is still its own entity. B&W has some stuff at price parity with Paradigm and I would choose the B&W stuff everytime. I did listen to the new Monitor 7 v. 5 and compared to my DM 603s they sounded plain old bad, and keep in mind I got my 603s for the same price post tax as the Monitor 7s are pre tax, but I did get lucky there. I just have not been impressed by Paradigms entry level products, their higher end Reference and Signature lines are very good speakers and when I heard them I was impressed, but the entry level stuff is just not that good. Still, my favorite setup that I have heard was a set of B&W 802Ds ($12,000/pair) with a JL Fathom f113 sub ($3,500), that was pure aural sex.

Yes, their Reference and Signature series, but their Monitor series is pretty abysmal.

I am not a fan of Paradigm really at all. Somewhat cheaply fabricated and just don't sound the best. Bowers & Wilkins speakers destroy Paradigm speakers and aren't much more expensive. I would also check out Revel, Klipsch, PSB and others, but I am just not impressed by Paradigm, especially their newest Monitor line.

I LOVE this amp, very solid performance, drives my Rainbow SLC265 Kicks amazingly well with great SQ. The amp hardly gets warm even after multi hour LOUD music sessions. The style of connections is awesome, much better than my brother's Directed 1500D, and it feels much more solid, and this is a 200 watt amp vs. a 1500 watt amp. I would recommend this amp highly.

It was just a joke, I know he isn't he's a good guy.

Not pushing anything, just do not want the wrong impression to be believed. I was just playing with you anyway, I know you're a good guy.

Side note, and nothing to do with the MAG, but the Icon does not need tons of power to sound good. There are a few Icon owners running less the 500 watts and love it. Oh denim pushing his Icon Funny that he has a Mag in his avatar though, lol.

As do mu muscles for lifting the box, lol.
-
Very light, on the order of 20-25 lbs for the Mag and less for the BM I'm sure.

How do the Mach 5 SPLs compare to the Nightshades? I know the Nightshades cost more and thus are probably slightly louder, just curious as to the difference.

He builds awesome boxes as I can see, much better than I could ever do.
-
Exactly what I wanted to know! Imagine each of those on a 3000D

Cool, can we get a few specs on what all is in there?
-
That would be too bad if they were because they are good subs at a good price and allow people to get good systems who wouldn't have been able to before the Maws. I could see it as possible though as the IXL line looks to be much better than the Maw line and if the price differential isn't much you'll be getting even better bang for your buck.

The old gen SI Mag is almost unanimously regarded as a better sounding and louder driver than the Fi Q. The SI BM (old gen) is about as loud and has equivalent SQ. The Q is a great driver, but I would still go with Stereo Integrity.

Big question is why was thilo selling Mike's product? Because Mike's product is actually just remarked TC products so in the end they are Thilo's products. Not with the SS logo... Thilo makes the entire driver, SS logo and all and ships it to Soundsplinter. The only difference between an SS sub and a TC one is the color of the cone and the logo on it.

No Sundown amps? I am slightly disappointed, lol. -
I want a new Mag NOW!!

Like the title says I was actually just wondering if you have any plans to re enter the component set market.

Very true. It depends on how my summer job hunting goes, but if I get an internship my stock alt is going to be replaced with a 200 amp model and I am going to probably add a Kinetik HC800. And even with all this all I am running is an SAE-1000D and the SAX-100.2 yet I will have better electrical than 99% of people out there.
