I emailed Scott about a dual 1 recone since a 2500.1 doesn't look to be in the near future. But, while I was bangin, some dudes heard it and one came to take pics/vids along with me, said he was friends with a local shop and gave me his number and email. I wish Meade could have hooked me up, at least he pointed me in the right direction though Oh, Bobbie (my new friend) asked "You mean the Jackhammer?" when I said " I'm gettn a 22". I laughed and said "no, a REAL 22", like that one... from Fi" Keep in mind when I say "not low enough for me", it is at MY reference level, since I tuned down at 15Hz, I get a lot more excursion and less output at 30Hz, so overall I am not near as loud as any of you, but at MY level. I am looking at my FR curve, I'm not INSANE loud above 30Hz... I'm not loud at all yet.

true, but im frustrated at the moment and dont want to keep doing damage. I need to get the big 3 done, HO alt, all thread the box, and coil/amp situation before I smoke the sub, kill the alt, or anything else... I dont want to embarrass myself anymore than I already have.... I'd love to get my own TL! I'd tweak all day and run REW and get my complete FR

OK, we JUST got the car a few weeks ago and started installing the system. it's not done yet by a long shot. I do not have the big 3 done yet. I do not have a HO alt. however, I used to run 1 red top under the hood and 1 stinger spv70 in the back without big 3 or HO alt in an Olds Cutlass and Dodge Intrepid with ZERO problems. the systems in those were WAY louder and hit much much harder than this one, plus I had a kicker 350.4 and 200.2 in those as well. when I ran the lanzar in it, it was at 1 ohm , now only 2 ohm, and before that an inefficient Audiobahn A1500HCT that popped 100amp fuses left and right till I just ran the power wire strait to the battery no fuse. this one is totally not ready... single 2 ohm coil on a Lanzar OPTI2000D...and it clips very easily. I can hear clipping and I back it off. Sometimes the sub starts to stink a little. The amp is rated 1100 RMS @ 2ohms, but I am going to guess I'm doing no more than 900. We first put 1 redtop under the hood and hooked up 1 of the 5 in back. With 2 hooked up, no big 3 or HO alt, I STILL should not get any headlight dimming even "full tilt" at 2 ohm, but I cant do that or I clip and cook. But we keep it real, real low because of that..and it still dims! Hooked up a second in back and took the extra 3 batteries completely out for now. Same problem... solid grounds for both of them. What gives? 10 amp draw per battery, so 20 extra amps now from the 2 in back . Just guessing no more than 50 amps for the amp (probobly much less) so yeah yeah, maybe up to 70 amps in addition to normal current draw, but still... i never had that with my intrepid or cutlass! OLDs... 1 red top, 1 stinger spv 70, 1 Audiobahn A1500HCT 1 Kicker KX350.4... no big 3, no HO alt! (had that worthless cap in there for a while, oooh... 1 farad... o my..... how did i miss that..... you tryed to run a Colossus off of what is that 8 gauge? 4 guage, and it was on a 15" L7... just cause the amp is rated 3200 RMS doesnt mean I was "trying" to run it at that give me a break EDIT: OMG! Steve Meade tried to run a 10" HX2 off a T15k! FREE AIR! O M F G!

all of those pics are 4-7 years old. I was referring to running 2 batteries in the past compared to now. And the xx-colossus was just to check it quick after I received it. It was damaged during shipping. I had all 4 guage and it was more than enough. The amps were pulling off the battery in back, less than 150 amps as there was a 150a breaker in back and another in front.

alright, looks like the big 3 gotta get done yesterday... so ill be going to get more terminal rings and prepare to start cutting and stripping.. yay

4 batteries were never before used. 2 batteries Ive used in car for a little while. I have 3 in the car now and 3 insode now. I just DMMed them all. 2 used inside 12.42 volts 1 unused inside 12.02 1 unused till now in car under the hood 12.02 2 unused till now in the back connected together 12.42 4 at 12.42, 2 at 12.02.

my communication skillz are seriousely lacking... thats why I do forums no alt yet, no big 3 yet, started with 2 red tops... it dimmed, shouldnt have... added a 3rd red top, still dimming... very low power. this amp BLOWS at 2 ohms!

very good. if they did, I would already have it. the IB3 22" will be out soon enough, along with the auto version which of course I will not use, I will use the "Infinite Baffle Home Theater" sub

I TOTALLY made up that number. I am not into SPL or SQ. I like being loud and low. I like to be able to crank it way up if I want but not have to worry about losing too much SQ or blowin chit up. headroom. I want to cover the full spectrum.... if someone farts in the recording stdio and creates a 16Hz "poof" I don't want to miss it, especially only to trade off my already satisfactory 30Hz range to make it super sick loud.

Yeah, IB's aren't meant go achieve record SPL numbers though yup, I'm not after numbers... well, I'd like to get a 130 at 20Hz hahahaha this is THE BEST sound quality I have ever heard. I can't be more happy. and it is not yet loud at all. I'm working on sending it in for a dual 1 ohm recone

you dont know how loud it is or is not, it is not loud at all which is why I am selling the amp I have that clips to easily since I have a 2 ohm sub on an amp that wants .5 ohm. His mother is the biggest skeptic of all, and she was worried it would be too loud, and she said right away that it goes low but its not much louder than the factroy radio speakers we took out from the back. I don't expect it will get loud even with the 2500.1 it is for sound quality and low end extention. youre judging from a video with a POS camera that records quiet whispers with high distortion.
