    TC sound

I own a TC 3000 15. I like the sound quality of the sub, it is one of the best sounding subs I have heard. It blends well while listening to music. But at the same time the output is great. I bought mine before the price increase and I feel at that time it was well worth it. Would I buy for the insane price now NO. I was considering Fi, sound splitnter, SSA and a few others and deceided on the TC. I haven't ever had a problem with my TC but I can tell you the customer service and support is not there compared to the others. If I had to do it over again I would more than likely choose one of the others. Recap The TC is a great sub, is very well built has very good sound quality and will get very loud. Chad

What sub to get or subs

here is a link from dodge truck world. http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines.com/ew..._install_thread this is not mine however I wish it were.....lol Decahemi is a great guy and has helped me out alot. if you go to his gallery you can see he has built alot of enclosures and his build quality and attention to detail is second to none. Check out this thread. I haven't used SSA, mach 5, fi, rlp, but I would have at least 1 of each if I could afford it........lol
  11. I am not sure on how many batteries. I have never used one of these amps, but from what I have read they can each draw in excess of 300 amps. I believe that they are only warrentied if you have 2 extra batteries and a high output alt. there are a few guys on here that run two maybe they will chime in. your welcome for the help. I would love to see some build pics on this
  12. ok so the box will fit, but what room do you have left after the box? where do you plan on putting the batteries? can your car handle the weight ? each battery weighs around 34lbs times that by 3-4. The box??? subs probly 80-100lbs. I know my single 15 in a 3.1 ft^3 box weighs around 100lbs. have you checked to see what HO alts are available? and the cost? I am all for a huge system. but there are alot of things to consider
  13. are you competing? thats alot of power and you need several good batteries as well as high output alt maybe 2 of them. several runs of 0 gauge. what subs do you plan on running? do you have enough room for everything?

yes a 15 can sound very good with rock.the size of the sub and larger subs sounding sloppy is a myth If set up properly. with out raising the back seat you can make the back of the seat fold down. you have to remove the back seat and the brackets on the back wall remove and install upside down. once you reinstall the seat, if you lift the bottom of the seat to 45 degrees you can then fold the back of the seat forward. then to latch the seat back in place lift the bottom again to 45 degrees and push the back of the seat up against the back wall as you lower the bottom. that way you can mount the amps on the back wall behind the seat but still have access to tune them.

    SHELBY MUSTANG BUILD

    very nice, good job
  16. I think 2) 12" BL's would be plenty. 12's in the proper enclosure would sound better as well as being louder than trying to squeeze 15's in. take in account enclosure size as well as port size IMO i feel it would be hard to squeeze 15's in a mustang in a proper enclosure.

What year is the truck? I have a single 15 and love it. I have mine ported now in a 3.1 ft^3 enclosure down firing. I went 16" wide x 34" long it goes all the way to the back seat. with the dimensions you have you can achieve 3 ft^3 I would suggest a back firing 15" I originally had mine in 3ft^3 sealed I tried it facing forward up and back. facing the back was by far the best. if you choose to down fire it you will only beable to use a 12 or 10 due to the center seat brackets. I have had 10's and 12's under the back seat as well, but space is very limited even when raising the seat a few inches. if you have an 02 or newer there is a few tricks you can do to the back seat to mount your amps on the back wall, these tricks allow you full access to them when needed. I would suggest a 15" as I stated above. Either mach 5,fi q, soundsplinter, ssa icon all great choices and easy to do with the dimensions given. like I said I have quite a bit experience with these trucks. any questions I will be willing to help any way I can. I would post pictures but I can't remember how......lol just look at some of my past threads

It comes down to what you are willing to spend, 2 12s have a slight cone advantage, may sound a little better, A single 15 Bl fully loaded is cheaper. hard to say. I have a single 15 in a vented eonclosure off of a PG 1200. and it gets way loud
