Dang! Sorry to hear that bro. Rest that hand and get well soon. I'm just down the street, don't hesitate if you need anything.

Thanks for the recommendations. Looking forward to trying some out some time.

Good deal. I wonder how many kids couldn't get to sleep after watching that parade. Haha!

Congrats on the IB setup turning out the way it did. Very impressive.

Thanks everybody. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the pics. Even though this is just a toy, I really wanted to get people's imagination going with the essence of monster trucks. Share your thoughts or memories. When I was a kid growing up in El Paso I would beg my dad to take me to the monster truck and tractor pull shows. I remember getting all excited hearing them fire up in the county coliseum. I remember watching ceiling tiles some down as the trucks roared round. It was a small venue, so no big air, then again in the mid to late eighties the engineering wasn't there to support it. I was and still are, a latino redneck. I have a special respect for those who can paint. No matter what I do I just can't seem to keep the paint from seeping under the tape and ruining a sharp line.

36 hz in port and 48 hz in cabin?
onebadmonte replied to harveywong's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
No. It'll have something to do with the way the vehicle reacts/resonates with the output of the sub/box. I'm just not qualified to make scientific statements. -

Hint: Retest using test tones. -
Nice. Any thoughts about running these daily on a low tune? Say 28-32Hz.

Thanks. We don't get that many monster truck shows here in San Antonio, so I've got to improvise.

You're preaching to the choir on that one brother. Before you know it you're telling yourself: "What have I done." BTW noice ride. I dabble with the on-road stuff as well.

This thing is more show than go. It's got some grunt for pulling and climbing, but just enough speed for a little air and wheelies. Anything more and I'd be buying parts left and right.

Who said you have to pay a lot for sound quality? i was just saying that for such a good price for an 18 inch sub i wanted to hear from someone who bought the sub about how it sounds.. im still debating on maybe gettin rid of my 2 mtx 9515's for 2 of those but im not sure. i love the way the 9500's sound in my car I've got a pair. They sound great. I was very easy to setup and get a natural sound out of them. There is a good amount of output as well. Enough for a good nightclub feel. It's tough to compare to the MTX 9500 with it's massive amounts of output in a box.

If you're thinking about buying one look into the SPL Labs meter. Shizzon is selling them in the for sale section.

Nice box, what are the specs? -
Not to be a smarty pants, but try a bigger amp like the sundown 4500. Maybe an equalizer to boast the frequency you peak at? That second one might not garner much approval around these parts though.

Looks like it was a good show. Bummer I missed it, although with that heat index I don't feel too bad. What's/when's the next show?

For $1K if they throw all these honey's in I might be interested.

The shortest complete sentence in the English language
onebadmonte replied to onebadmonte's topic in Off Topic
Here is what I was looking for: by Agafya Chase So we're talking about the shortest complete sentence in English? I proposed a sentence - I? - Yup. If you write it, it is just a letter (I) with a question mark. And if you say it, just an I with a rising tone. Usually this sentence is used by someone to confirm an order referring to him/her. For example, there are only two people in the room. And in the middle of a conversation the other person shout aloud, Go! Another short sentence which in the context means as an order to leave the conversation. I bet with a pair of irritated eyes, confused facial expression, the other person in the room would point his or her own nose and ask I? A letter with this rising tone is a way to ask for confirmation, which means You mean it? Is it really me? I can't hardly believe it! I?. That's the shortest I can get. as seen here: I?
