Looks bonkers. You should offer this franken-woofer in kit form for those with used SA-12 motors.
-
Money is in installing and tuning, i.e. glassing and SQ. Good luck.

happy birthday where ever you are.

10.118" spider on a 3" coil O_o Any concern about coil rock?

I would like to try out something like this someday in my suburban. http://inlowsound.weebly.com/25hz-114db-1w1m-horn.html

The a-pillars came out looking awesome. I missed how you are securing the 4" mid though. :/ Reading > me Your project is coming along very nicely. Congrats.

Try a bigger sealed box, and or more power and a little eq. Granted a sealed box isn't the way to go when chasing numbers on the meter, but when looking to reproduce music with authority in car audio it is possible with a sealed box. A little cone area helps too.

Sorry Steve, but I'm gonna have to agree with Chicagofan on this. Boobs and booty pics!!! -
Looking good. Looks like a lot of work though. :/ Maybe one day I'll get off my arse and try some glassing work.

Depends on what features you're looking for. The Alpine you linked seems to be an excellent deal for those looking for a basic radio that includes a Sirrus XM tuner. Here is one for those looking to build a basic 2.1 active SQ system http://www.sonicelec...rion-CZ702.html If you want just the radio, Buy.com has it for about $15 cheaper. Good luck with the project.

Congrats on getting you sub finally. Sounds like you've got bitten by the "I need more" bug. If you're ever interested in meeting up with locals that share the same interest shoot me a PM. I'm definitely interested in hearing what your tens can do.

I'll make a north Texas event and offer my ride for any product demos. Let me know as soon as you decide on an event so I can make arrangements.
-
Whaaaa? No Texas events like Heatwave in Austin. Pfff. Good luck. I'm just messing with you bro. Congrats on this new venture. Always moving forwards. Awesome. :0)

Alton couldn't have said it any better. The products are top notch, especially at the price point they are sold at. The lead times can get lengthy, so patients is a virtue, but don't be afraid to drop them any e-mail. As for a recommendation. The SSD is a proven performer. We are all patiently waiting the return of the "X" series of subs which will be rated at 750watts, so that be a more suitable option. Not sure if you'll be able to fit a ported box so sealed might be the way to go. If you can't wait for the "X" series you might wanna check out the Dcon from SSA. Good luck and keep us posted on what you go with. :0)

Can I get my ten with a weezer cone? Looks funky. Cant wait to see'em wangin.

It sucks having to go through what you are going through. Take a step back at look at the Fi Car Audio business model. Its one where you order online, pay online, your stuff gets made, then shipped. There is no support other than manufacturer box recommendations, woofer parameters, and a online forum to chat with fellow product users for support, that's it. The problem arises when you bypass the online ordering system. Suddenly a manual order is forced into an automated system. Unfortunately Fi Car Audio is not setup that way, and why should they. It's their business, they'll run it how they want I see that they've been nice enough to get you squared away with product here and there. It's this special service that eats away at profit margins though. At some point they are gonna cut their losses. They are going to get you your stuff, period. I think next time around, find you a U.S. connection that can order online for you then forward the shipment to you. It's gonna cost you a bit more in shipping, but it'll save you some time in the long run. Bummer man. :/
