I've been over there for about 3 yrs so I have to kinda look out if somethings not right. I figured I'd pm him ans see what he has to say before I called him out on the forum. But he doesn't want to seem to respond for some strange reason I'll let ya know what he has to say for himself if anything.......... BTW congrats on the ICON, seems solid. I hate people that think without any first hand knowledge or really any basis to have an opinion, there too many good products out there that people judge without ever using. Only other forum I've found that is actually cool.

Well they were banned from carstereos.org, caraudio.com, here, caraudiojunkyard.com, etc. They move to greener pastures until something goes wrong and they have the members turn against them. good to know then.. they set him up a nice little dealer section and everything, I thought I'd seen a few less than positive things about them around here.. thanks.

I spent 1/2 hour arguing with the jlcaudio guy sounddestroyer mat, swears its butyl, so he sends me a sample swearing its butyl, yup butyl my ass, my butyl rubberized apshalt, I could smell the asphalt as soon as I opened the envelope. Although for 80 $ for a 100 sqft It'll prob do the job prettty good. and inall honesty I haven't had any problms with the beter quaility rubberized asphalt mats, especially for that price, and I live in Fl. Good luck with your project...

I'd really like to see it optimized for lower power/higher x-max. Maybe most efficient ported anywhere from 3-6fts for auto. possibly I'd give 1 or 2 a try. I can fit to 20's i tihnk

Hey guys, I'm kinda new to here, can't poet in the f/s section yet. SO please don't delete, I'm a honest guy. I have %100 percent positive feedback on caraudiocentrsl.net, I 've been around there since 2004. So I'm bored and wanna change my sub setup. As the title say I have a RE SX 18, like new only a few hours use, you can't tell its not new. I'm either looking at a ssa 15 or 2 ssa 12's. Just becuase I think it kniks ass they ffinally got there own speaker line, every car audio junkies dream . BTw I'm selling the sx 18 for say $325 shipped, its honestly like new. My favorite decks lately id the pioneer p8mp, I've had it for about 2 years, works flawless, looks nice I was blessed by yhe ebay god for $200 to the door new.. nice.. I really want to upgrade soo, thinking about a eclipse 7000, I love the 8v preamps, Or mayeba higher end panasonic, nice deck, I just don't think its in th same class as the above menrioned two, any opinions?

nice... what the hel brande were the 16 -12's kinda looked like the ow end fusion encounters. Fusions actually a really good brand sub wise from the powerplant to the nvs series is bad. But congrats.. BTW do you live in FL?

I was on a tc kick for a while.. there diufference between the 2000 and 3000 is, the 3000 will handle more power withe less distortion,with higher output and run in a smaller box. that came from kyle(tc) But you really can't go wrong with any of there drivers. I wan't a 5400lmT

It turns out nice. I started with rounding it all down smoothing it out, a couple coats of fillable spray primer, then sparay bedliner, then whaever exterior finish, really help with box flex too. mine looks about like that just black, with an 18"... good job though...

I was just wondering how you fit that big of a box in the hatch, I have a 93, 2 door also, I had to take the back seat out. How much more space did the new seat give you. My box is approx 7.3@34, about 37x23x22. A back seat would be nice but it just wasn't happening...

You got it 2 4ohm coils parallel = 2ohm. Also on box design check out reaudio.com, on the bottom of the page they have a slot port design program, you input size etc.. and it will give you a visual of your box, plus a cut sheets for the exact sizes for box pieces. ALso win-isd to model how the sub would work in a specific enclosure. I like Bassbox pro 6, but its kinda expensove unless you can limewire, soulseek it... good luck.

I really like this forum, alot of people with knowledge, and skill, not a bunch of biased smartass know it all like some forums I won't mention I'm 31, Live in FL. Currently I'm running a RE SX 18 of a jbl 1201.1, Fusion powerplant 6.5comps ran off a carver kmos 2150, Pioneer p8mp h/u, 170 amp alt. In a 93' Civic h/b. Not to bad its get loud enough. Hopefully I can help somebody, and learn something from ya'll.. later , Joe

Thats should be plenty loud enough!!!!! I figure ya have a big a$$ electrical system to keep up with that power. Let me know how it turns out. 2 rlp 18s off of 2500 should be nasty. I'll have to check it out next time I swing thru Church Street.....

Trust me, With 1300 watts on a 18" your gonna have to have a serious front stage to even be able to hear music, especially cranked up, I run a sx 18 on about 1200rms, with 6.5 comp set seeing about 100 rms or so a side and it lacks.. SO unless all ya want is bass, almost any good brand 18" will slam if its done right.
