no, its the newer version 3hp motor w/ the tall top plate and the 4 monting holes on the plate.. Reason I asked 2500rms is that is what tc rated them with their top assembly. I believe you have made adapters fora standard 12 spoke basket for there before?? thanks, JOe

anybody?? FI? thanks

I just read in another thread you can re-cone it If I send it in to a 18" for $148 sweet.. What soft parts do you use? and on a 3hp motor what do you estimate this sub with this motor/soft parts combo would be good for rms wise thanks.

This is to FI, What are my options on reconing a TC 3hp motor to a 18"??? I need it reconed to a dvc 4 ohm. What parts will fit?? Could you pm me a cost of the recone if I send it in thanks, Joe

thats a clean looking sub, from the case to the logo. I love the logo.. sweet. BTW whats the everyday cost on these going to be?? thanks
-
what do you estimate the prices of the lvl 5 subs to be.. the 12-15-18. thanks. I thought I had my choice made to an Incriminator DP 18", but your making it tough
-
Now that a few DP's are out and folks have them......

I would love to give you a review.. As soon as I can get my hands on a 1 ohm DVC 18" dp, I'll let ya know.. -
I currently have my 7.5@35 box that I used for my RE SX 18", I sold the sub, time for something new. I'm curious as to how a 18" DP will do in 7.5@35 on about 2700rms off an orion xtr pro 2400d @ 2 ohms, using a 18" 1 ohm dvc 18" dp??? I know its not a sq woofer but will it sound anywhere in the realm of ok musically for a everyday street beater??? And will that box work for that sub.. All in a 95 blazer.

The specs seem alot like the tang band 740 8"s. I just put 2 in my maxima off a jbl bp600 in about 1.5@35 really impressed with the two tang band 8's. I've always loved the way 8"s sound and have never had a problem getting them loud.. I'd be interested to see how the SD 8's compare...

honestly I haven't even thought about doing another box.. Its right about .7 each after displacement. at about mid 30's. It may get luder in a bigger box, but I'm really surprised, and I really like the way they sound right know, so I figure why screw with it it I'm happy.. give me a week or 2..

Well, Tang Band has a new fan. Today I installed a Pioneer 7700 cd player, a planet audio vx2002 on a set of fusion powerplant 6.5 comp set, and a jbl bp600 on 2 tang band 740 8" subs in a 1.3 ft3 box tuned at 33. I'm pretty damn impressed for two 8"s that I got new for $80 a pair. Heavy little subs, built well, 12mm x-max. I have 2 more on the way But as it sits it makes for a VERY clean sounding system, I wasn't expecting the amount of low end output, It's not 150 dbs but defintily enough for a nice daily beater, didn't expect the low end authority. So all in all I'm happy. So anybody looking for a nice smaller substage 4 of the TB 8's on 600-800 rms would definitly solve your problem. I've used alot of other brands both low and high end, and would definitly reccomend these.....

honestly, the 2 tang band 8's keep up with alot of the 10 and 12" systems I've had in the past, the more I listen the more I'm impressed, I ran through some jeezy and 36 mafia and it hit all the low notes with roof flexing authority.. very ahppy..
-
what size v/c 's do the subs have that need to be reconed.. ight not be all to bad reconed with better quality soft parts.. as long as the v/c is at least 2" +... let me know. thanks, Joe

Just wondering where a RE SX 18 would fall into the FI lineup. It kinda seems THE it would be about the equivalent of a BL. Hopefully Scott can give me some insight into this and if is better and why or how it'd compare.. thanks alot... Joe

Seller -- Johnnylemoine Good guy to deal with. Shipped quick...

I love the fact of seeing some higher output lower power subs, When I first got into this we were throwin 300- 700 to our subs and were completly amazed. Now It seems almost everybodys system is 1500+ watts and alot of them aren't 1500+ loud or at least it seems. So I'm looking forward to seeing the performance of these. I love the cone/surround combo.

MTX has dissapointed the hell out of me, I used to swear by them back in the day. I used to LOVE the old Blue Thunders, and even the Terminators, but all there new stuff is way overpriced. Although I had a pair of the 8500's and the were good, but I got them cheap. I'm with the rest of the guys on this one. There are tons of brands that are cheaper, more rliable and will outperform MTX... unless you can afford the almighty 22" JACKHAMMER.. J/K hundreds of pounds of garbage.....

actually the interfires were out befor the new fi designs...

I talk to the guy tht deal them alot, thew will do spl real well but stil retain decent sq

I've had a few people tell me these won't work well in auto use, I disagreed. WHats your recommended setup on these for auto use ported.. say either 1-15 or 2 12's and how do you think they'd sound? thanks... Joe...

mmats vs. kicker
Breakjunki replied to XXplosive Audio's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Kickers are solid amps, but my vote oges to mmats,, I've has a few different ones since the early mid 90's and there built sooo solid, powerhouses... -
A guy I knows a dealer for them , and for the price they do really well, especially the pro's. the amps are ok.. they do the rated power, just a little higher distortion...

Breakjunki replied to 00mustang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
look into JVC for 200 or under they havea few models that have 3 sets of preamps, burr brown, 24 dac, ipod conections, and alot of good feature. Also any of the higher pioneer, the 6900 and above. -
How does a RE SX 18 fall into the FI lineup?
Breakjunki replied to Breakjunki's topic in Fi Products
Well the RE SX 18, has a 3" 8layer v/c. Will easily take 1500+rms all day. triple magnet slug, and 22 x-max. And insane output in 7.5 ft3 @ 34 . Just trying to figure out where it falls.... -
guys.. that was probably the craziest thread or two I've seen. I love how you back that douchebag into a corner(bass2loud). THat was great! you pretty much pulled out every argument and point he had right out from under him, just proving hes a dumbass..
