I have a alpine 7949 for a deck, it'd be sweet to use the xe digital crossover. but the preamp-x-over set would be sweet -

help?? anybody?? thanks.. -
I know that FI can recone the 3hp motors(3000's) w/ the tall top plate. Its has the 4 holes on the top plate. I know you machine adapters. My question is, instead of sending 70 lbs of motors to you to be reconed, could you just send me the recones/baskets adapters and I'll do it myself. It'll prob save a bunch of money and possible shipping damage( I don't have good luck )... Thanks, Joe. P

you would be my personal hero if you could find one thanks though. Its a bitch finding one. I have a sweet 7949, and now sure how to run half the stuff on it.. -
motorcityreman.com Usually about $200. for a 200 amp. Good place to do busuness with. Never had any problem. they do about 100amps at idle full at 1200..

I just wanted to say congrats on building a great driver. If it sounds anywhere as good as it looks(which I know it does) you have a winner. This is hands down one of the best looking/meanest subs I've seen in a while. Its always after I buy a sub something new comes out that I want I'll get one sooner than later....

I was looking on your site, I see the mpyre comp set, but the links down. DO you still carry the 6.5 mpyre comp set. ANd if so what do they cost. Thanks, Joe. P

its beautiful. 60 amps of fusing in a SQ amp its about 14" x 8" good size amp. .004 THD thats the best, and 1 ohm stable stereo. YOu can check out the guts over at ROE's amp guts section model XM-5046. I also picked up a ALpine 7949 to go with it(full copper chassis, preamp, no power) like the 7909. Will make for a sweet front end. -

I posted on another thread about needing the addy to send a motor in for recone, just didn't want to assume its the website address.. Also is it possible to do a full poly cap on a 3hp 18" recone along the lines of the 10" full FI logo one I saw in a earlier thread, or maybe from a HAVOC 18" plain?? I just prefer the look over the small boob/inverted one.. just wondering if its possible thanks, Joe

Well, I usually stay away from all the local shops, there about 5. But I was bored so I went around yesterday to see whats new. Theres one shop thats actually pretty knowledgeable/cool. A old guy at Autosoundaddiction(VERN) We were sitting around talking, this kid comes in with a 15" Team RF fosgate(sweet SPL 4hp sub) the dustcap was loose, but he was sure it needed to be sent to the factory for "repairs" Tested the coils, their fine. Vern says " I have some CA glue in the back I'll just glue the dustcap back down and you'll be good, save you a couple hundred" The kids like no"I don't want it half assed, it needs all new parts." WOW I tried to tell him, that its just a loose dustcap, and CA glues what they'd use in the first place, but some people just don't wanna listen. So needless to say, he ended up dropping it off to go back along with 3 other subs he's torn up to go back, for god knows how much money Its one of the many reasons shops exist And one of the reasons I can't go Sorry if this is so long, stuff like that drives me nutz.....

sorry to thread jack, but thanks for the reply on reconing the 3hp I have, could you give me an addy to send it to. I assume its the addy on the website, but I know where assuming has got me before, so... And is it ok to just include a m/o for the full amount with the motor??
-
I was just thinking the same thing just didn't wanna compare but they look nice, the old school look/dustcap is sweet...
-
I'm in when their produced. They'll look better with the black basket and a gasket/ring will make the look good. I'll replace my 2 TB 8's with 4 of these
-
the full cones d/c's look badass, good looking driver.. I wonder when they recone mine to a 18 they have a full dustcap like that, would be sweet
-
That works for me Just happens I'm picking up a 2nd 3hp motor so I have about 2800rms to play with will work well on a pair of FI reconed 3hp 18's Thanks, Joe
-
Hi, I found another thread where FI can recone a 3hp to a 18" for me, I found the price. I'm just curious as to what soft parts would be used to recone(as in what lines it would come from) or what parts in general(how many spiders etc, stiffness.) And do you beleive that the reconed 3hp would be good for 2500rms daily?? thanks, Joe I need the end load to be 2 ohm..so either 4 ohm dvc, or 1 ohm dvc.

I double checked it has the 4 holes I guess pre drilled for the tc top assembly....
