Which amp do u like better?
jrm22 replied to bigrank916's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Kinetic is expensive but good, anything like kinetic, powermaster xs, deka, optima, stinger etc.. your pick for the price... Sundown makes badass amps and yet the RF BD amps are badass as well.. Out of those 2 depending on your budget I'd probably get the cheaper amp because both of those are HIGH quality amps so you cannot loose. I did buy a sae-1200D and happy with the price/purchase. -
I don't know if you already bought that refurb amp but you can find BNIB (brand new in box) sae1200d on ebay for about $180-$220.. One ebay user is selling the sae-1200d's at a blowout pricing. I bought one about 2 weeks ago for about $220 shipped. I posted this in another thread as well.. Just letting you know as that is more power, new and cheaper.. Its a legit seller as the box I received was NEW and had jacob fuller's name on it from sundown audio.. Seller is 100% feedback. Only thing is you will have to bid on the amp and just take your time, the seller puts up several of those units per week. It can be bought for $220 or less as I stated. He had one as buy it now and one guy on ebay got one for about $180 NEW.. Have not seen any other buy it now options though.. Good luck again..

You can get BNIB sae 1200d sundown audio amp on ebay for $200 shipped.. I see one for buy it now option. I bought one from the same seller on ebay a couple weeks ago but I had to bid on it.. Still got it for a steal I think $220 shipped. All legit from seller as mine came straight from Jacob Fuller at sundown audio address.. Just ebay sundown audio and you will see the amps I am talking about. **EDIT** just looked a minute ago the buy it now is gone but you still have luck with bidding on the few others listed.. Just take your time and I bet you can get one for $200 or under $220.. obsidian_audio is the sellers ebay name..

Maybe if the price wasnt so much on the sundown compared to other amps. The price went up after the pre-sale. I wouldnt pay $400 for the sundown amp. I know they run very efficient at .5 ohm and they can pound a sub very good but if I was gonna pay more for a amp Id rather have a Rockford Fosgate T10001bd. The BD line is a very good amp as we all know.. Even Steve Meade uses the Rockford BD series amps.. I can get a new Rockford T10001bd for $340 new not refurbished. I can also get that memphis PRD1000.1 for $289.

Hey guys whats going on? Im new here but not to forums at all LOL.. I decided to go ahead and register to this forum because it seems like a good place to go and it does have alot of helpful information I have read. Im glad I found out about the new FI SSD series subwoofers. I havnt even herd of Ficaraudio until the other day. They look nice and im thinking about getting a 10" SSD for a sealed enclosure just to have some bump in my ride. I have seen all of the FI subwoofer videos on google and on youtube...

I have been looking at the same memphis amp for a fi Q10 or fi SSD with the "BP Power" option added. I know those amps are pretty good and its always easier helping someone else out on his/her system but when it comes to your own system its harder to pick the right amp sometimes lol.. I was debating on that memphis or a Hifonics BXi 1206D. You should have no problems installing new speakers into your lease vehicle. Like they said you can always keep the old wiring and what not. You wont have any damage to the vehicle at all if you watch what you are doing. Stock speakers do suck and you should also really power the new speakers or components with its own dedicated amp aswell, not by the cars stock amp or by the new head-unit.. So in other words look for a smaller memphis amp to push your highs/mids.

Those can handle 600 watts RMS as stated on the manufacturers website. It all depends on which amp you choose to power the subwoofer with. Some amps as you know dont actually put out what they say if its a cheap brand. I herd that those are pretty good subwoofers and I dont see how they sell the 18" mj for that cheap along with all of their subs.. I dont think I would overpower that paticular brand of sub in my opinion. Try to stay close to the Rated RMS (continuous) watts. They are good subs for what you pay for them but they are no FI or RE subwoofer that could take the overpowering from an amp. just my 2 cents..
