I just use google sketch up when designing anything... its free and easy to learn..you'll have to do some math to figuer out the cuft you want/need or the tuning you desier but all in all it will work like a champ.

Do you know what that box is tuned to? the 2.5ft^3 ported one?

im getting a new gcon 12" and just need to build a box for it. i want it ported, specs for the sub are 2.00-2.50cuft @ 28-33hz for ported box and 2.50-3.00 cuft @28- 30hz for ported optimal.... i came across this box diagram for a ssa dcon 12 but im not sure if it would also work for the gcon 12". http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/45938-quote-for-225cuft-dcon-enclosure/page__p__726610__fromsearch__1#entry726610 if anyone has any dimensions for one could i bum them from you if not a little insight would help, Thanks.

I have a Rockford Fosgate punch 501s 1500W amp These are the specs- Bridged Into A 4-Ohm Load: 500 watts x 1 Per Channel Into A 2-Ohm Load: 250 watts x 2 Per Channel Into A 4-Ohm Load: 125 watts x 2 Im really interested in buying a single gcon 12 and was wondering if it would work with this amp and if so does anyone have anysuggestions on how i would wire it up to sound good. here is a link to the Gcon 12" http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/gcon-12-sound-solutions-audio-12-750w-gcon-series-subwoofer.html let me know what you think Thanks.. -
ya i was looking at the gcon or the dcon... one of the two.... my max dimensions are Height 21" bottom depth 29" top depth 21" ( due to seat angles) length 40" I have a question about the gcon... can i run it in a single 4 ohm load at 500wrms? or no?

currently i have a Rockford Fosgate punch 501s amp and i want to find a 12 that will run great with that amp.. my amp specs are Bridged Into A 4-Ohm Load: 500 watts x 1 Per Channel Into A 2-Ohm Load: 250 watts x 2 Per Channel Into A 4-Ohm Load: 125 watts x 2 Any suggestions on a 12" that hits hard and clear?...i was looking at the decon 12" by ssa audio only problem is it only requiers 300wrms 4ohms or the sd-2 series by sundown 500wrms 4ohm but thats for shallower mounting depths and i want something that will slump... im open for any suggestions... i would be up for maybe a 15 if i have room for it. if their are better subs out their for my amp then those let me know don't really have a budget..
