You better start interning with a alumni MD if you wanna have a chance of getting accepted.

Unhook one RCA at a time. If that doesn't fix it unhook one speaker wire at a time at the amp until it stops. (Unhook then hook back if the noise doesn't stop) Does it make the noise with the car not running?
-
Translate to shitty or broke amp. Is lean more to it being broke. If it was a design flaw it would be obvious as it would do the same thing when a door or trunk were closed causing the cone to vibrate. (Of course the amp would need to be on in order for it to happen)
-
Given the xmax of the sub and assuming tuning is 32 hertz (didn't see it listed). 80 inches is plenty fine.
-
That is called shitty output filtering. When you tap the cone the coil is generating signal that is traveling back into the amp and is being looped back to the sub.

You misunderstand.

Mustang II parts can be had for cheap also.

I'm sure there is someone that already makes a chassis for that car instead of dealing with all the BS of making a newer production frame fit.

Whatcha looking for?Administrative, writing, photography, or management mainly.I have such a wide variety of experiences and skills, but nothing real specific or rare. J Do you have your own camera and lenses? You can do some freelance work and get a bit of cash while looking.I have both but need some more glass. Once I am out of the Army I will be picking up lenses and a new body.Freelance work near the base is little and far between. Part of me is tempted to see if I can profit from doing a music review site. It seems like 90% of the places that review and write articles about music only focus on bullshit bands, and have little to no variety. I am just curious as to how to make it profitable. Would be REAL nice to get a good web developer to work with me on this idea. J Mark? Tried making contact but to no avail. J He rarely if at all answers pm's or email. His phone number is on his site.

If you do 4cft net and tune to 30 hertz the enclosure will be about .33 ft smaller and have more output from 50 to 27 hertz.
-
3.3 tuned to 28 looks good. I didn't do any calculations per the physical deminsions though. You DO need to increase port area. Use no less than 73.
-
Production coils came in today. They are 10 mm longer to bring xmax to 33mm one way. Due to the extra mass these are aluminum. New coil next to the old coil
-
73 inches of port area will be plenty. I don't see that sub having more than 25mm of coil over hang. Instead of using those programs for cut sheets. I recommend doing a 3d drawing in sketchup to verify all part deminsions.

Use the formulae for the circumference of a circle.

Carver Amplifiers
Quentin Jarrell replied to gprestonmoto's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Most of his old stuff is not considered high end. He mainly designed mass marketed type product that was affordable. He has made some pretty bad ass tube amps and other stuff in recent years. But the older stuff is just good, akin to alpine or JL, not really hifi -

I want to widen my soundstage

If I do change my apillars I would like to use a tweeter that has less simblance (pronounced "s" sound in female voices) than the LGP's that I have now. Using the LGP's on-axis may make simblance worse, idk. I like the small format (physical size) of the LGP's. The Morel 4" mids I have probably have less distortion than the JL's I am using now. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find Klippel graphs for the Morel's.Good luck to you too! Go to Voice Coils magazine's website and sign up. Once you register you can access all past editions online. Vance has tested damn near every speaker on the planet. Along with Vance's tests and simulations he also posts Klippel results from Pat Turmire and normally goes into good detail explaining everything. -

I read that and was thinking...I sure the hell wouldn't be walking on my birthday.

LI's are some nice subs. You'd be even more impressed with a proper enclosure.

soundsplinter orphan 8 box recommendations

normally people prefer a Q of around .707. It gives the flattest responce with the lowest rolloff point. However some like a slightly higher Q around .8-.85 that offers a slightly warmer feel with a little increase in DB. I dont have the formulas with me to calculate But I,m 99.999999 percent that the VAS is wrong. Vas is directly related to enclosure volume.
