Budget Wall Build (6) 15'S 4,000 WATTS
Quentin Jarrell replied to Quentin Jarrell's topic in Direct Sound Solutions
That drives me nuts.It rides much better like this. Same as in a bagged truck. Better weight distribution. It's too high for me though. Is a mother pucker to park. The bottom of the windows are about 6.5 feet high. -
Budget Wall Build (6) 15'S 4,000 WATTS
Quentin Jarrell replied to Quentin Jarrell's topic in Direct Sound Solutions
No just doing something different. With nearly twice the xmax and another 2k in power it'll be just as loud if not louder. This set up will be a tad nicer and below the window line so it might stay in until the end of the year. -

Compact Ported Enclosure Advice/Design - SA-12
Quentin Jarrell replied to Trent Hari's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
I sent the sketchup based on your original deminsions posted in this thread to the email in the PM weeks ago. If you want another one of different deminsions as asked in the PM someone else will have to help you. -
New enclosure for SP4 (port area and driver placement?)
Quentin Jarrell replied to Rail's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
dv= 39.37 (fb x Vd) ^1/2 dv = minimum diameter of vent in inches fb = tuning frequency in Hz Vd = cone displacement volume in cubic meters (sd x xmax in meters) NOTE xmax is not the parameter most manufactures list. Most manufactures list xmax at 70% BL. Xmax is defined by Small as coil overhang. For a 30 mm sub overhang will be in the 18- 22mm overhang range. -

http://www.drillspot.com/products/43136/white_rodgers_124-305111_dc_power_solenoid I'm sure if you search White Rodgers will have something else that will work better. -
2010 civic sedan daily drive
Quentin Jarrell replied to Quentin Jarrell's topic in Direct Sound Solutions
Another 20 or 30 hours and I'll have a good base for the enclosure. -
I got a Hp all in one for ~350 bucks at best buy and couldn't be happier for what it's used for. Infolytica will run on it though it is a little sluggish, I don't see paint shop being an issue.

The entire though process behind this is stupid. People are using these tools to set gains without distortion. It's doesn't matter even if Wiily Wonka and Dr. Emmett Brown got together and used Sean's 250k scope and triple checked it with the vibrio meter to match the gain to the amps .5 THD rating. Evening if the source voltage or content never changed. Speakers are rated at 10% distortion and subs are rated at 20%. Distortion. BC YOU CAN NOT HEAR THE DISTORTION until this point. So why in the hell are people worried about setting gains for no distortion or 1, 2, 5%. It makes no difference.

Kiss detail goodbye on landscape shots then. I just shot a ton of pictures that are soft where I wouldn't want them to be. That's the good thing about newer cameras. You can manually adjust metering and focal points while shooting

What the hell. My post disappeared

I studied photography for several years in school (was in gifted visual arts for 10 years) and learned how to develop negatives, b&w, and color. I've forgot more than 50 percent of what I learned. But I just prefer to let the Nikon do its thing and use active matrix focusing rather than having to wiry about F stop. I find it more enjoyable for me than to have to worry about technical details when I'm out and about.

Amp cuts at half volume and when I try and make a call
Quentin Jarrell replied to Jacob86's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Or they could say, Oh yea we have problems with the firmware and the head unit is sending ground thru the remote turn on on the amp when blue tooth is activated. All you have to do is update it. A 5 minute phone call isn't going to hurt anything. -

It's all alpine. I'd just call them. -
ROFL, no shit eh?I thought we had already been over that.

Or just mold the tools into the baffle.
-
You gotta blame that on the manufacturer and not the outlet. A smart manufacturer would have a good rep firm to dictate who gets to carry product without watering down the brand.

And a few even used Rear fill.........Oh, snap.

It's just personal preference. Some people like pioneer 5 ways. It's whatever floats their boat or they are to ignorant to know otherwise. Nothing wrong with any wrote taken as your the one who will be listening to it. No one can guess what you will like.
