for as complicated as it was to make (5 axis) while keeping the letters from distorting I think it came out pretty damn good -

For 1,500 I'd be buying fire bricks and building my own egg too.

I mean not a clue. The first time on the job no supervision asking me how to do their job.
-
Ever work next to your competitor and they don't have a clue what they are doing.

They are essentially the same as the Alpine X is the same as Scan Speak? Or are they the same speaker? Any type of frequency responses available of the raw drivers to compare? I use the same cone on my Ethos as SSA Icon and a IA Warden but that doesn't mean they are the same.

You can make an extremely meaty 3" coil to handle power. Maybe one of the main reasons to use a larger diameter coil is to make the pole larger. Metal has a cut off point in which it can no longer absorb or allow magnetism to flow through it. (Akin to copper wire and electricity). When it hits this point, also called "hitting its knee" it can cause flux issues and if severe enough can demagnetize the magnets. The other is true also. If too much metal is in a motor compared to the magnetic force it can act as a resistor impeding magnetic flow resulting in a loss of magnetic flux in the gap.

I can understand the all in one application. But I smoke all my sausage, bacon, hams, ect at one in a fairly large 8x8x8 smoker that's about 50 years old. Although I do have a smaller Cajun microwave when we have parties and such we have ~150 people show up so I use my large one that fits a whole hog plus a 6x2 foot grilling area and a rotisserie that'll hold 12 frier chickens.

Gotcha. I use a Cajun microwave for slow roasting and a smoker for smoking.

Have never seen an egg in use. Besides the obvious even heat retaining properties of ceramic, what's the big deal?

A horn is way more complex than an enclosure. I wouldn't buy a prefab box and most certainly wouldn't try to piece together a HLCD

Most everyone here starts off in a Miata for track use.

Fuck no. My "toys" actually do go fast. Just need something for daily driving. Have been happy so far with the ole lady's DD a 2010. Sticker was 21k and some change. Walked in at 730 looked at the car. Sat down with the salesman and he asked how my credit is (I look like I'm about 20). Laid 20k on the table. Told them if they want to sell it ill take it right now tax title liscense if not ill go somewhere else. At 900 I walked out with the keys.

Just broke down and bought another civic.

Not sure what I want. If I find a vehicle with 30mpg with mileage I get paid the car will be basically free.
-
My. Fun car will be a '10 Viper for Xmas. This will be strictly a work vehicle.
-
It's a work DD. ~50k miles a year.
-
Gonna be looking for a new DD this week. Has to be new with good gas milage preferably some sort of hatch or small SUV at or under 25,000. I was thinking '14 Honda CRV. Do NOT want a Nissan. Any suggestions?

High motor force to cone weight ratio gives a funky response with increased output at tuning. No where near accurate music representation. Everything must be in sync.

Only fire I know about was the one in this barge.
-
pucking rain gonna make a 15min draft an all day affair.
-
Help give an idea of the product we push. This barge is near empty. Only about 10 truck loads left in it. Typical Panamax vessels holds about 40 of these. We normally deal with about 30 Panamax's a week on the lower MS
